Tymon didn’t/doesn’t owe the club anything.

    Neither did Odubajo.

I'm hearing that we've signed him but he's going to attend the Craig Bellamy Snowflake Conditioning Academy for the rest of the season.

Do the Allams then? What's the difference between a player grabbing all the money they can and the Allams taking their money back?

And before anyone uses the Allam apologist line. There is nothing behind it, it's a genuine question as to what people who are saying the player is correct for taking the money but hate the Allams for doing the same? In my eyes the players should show loyalty and in the same breath the Allams should be called for things like the name change, airco arena, no kids prices but not for earning as much money as they can from a business venture they invested their own money into

This, for me, is an important point.

If we are to accept that loyalty is dead and the 'right thing' is a something only for the accountants, then we shouldn't we accept the Allams getting their money back (or profiteering), by hook or by crook?

For me, personally, I always expected the Allams to start taking money back out the club when they were planning on leaving. It’s frustrating as a supporter because you want to see that money invested in the squad and players replaced but it was always going to happen.

I agree players should show loyalty but I accept that most don’t. It’s a short career and they need to (if their head is switched on) set themselves and their families up for the rest of their lives.

Things like the name change, the airco arena and the lack of concessions are hardly revelant in respects to player loyalty. A name change or the concession matter aren’t about owner loyalty; they’re about messing with the fundamentals of traditional English football and owners shouldn’t have the right to mess with them as they see fit because they’ve put some money in. The owners are supposed to run a business (the club) so that it is successful, meets the needs of its customers and it is financially sound.

Did you perceive Tymon as being disloyal to City? If not, what would be an example of a player being disloyal?

You'd be better off looking at contracts and lawyers.

I think he’s shown a lack of loyalty but I also think they showed a lack of loyalty to him too.

I’ve said all along, with this particular transfer, that there’s blame on both sides that it fell apart. Namely between Ehab and agent.

    In your opinion.
In mine he does. And the thousands booing odubajo seem to say that's what fans think.
    Maybe consumers think differently

Totally agree.... Ehab handled the situation all wrong. Softly softly engagement might have worked. But he only knows one way... push & bully everyone around him

Think the main thing for me was Tymon was badly advised by his greedy agent.

Why? Tymon left and the club got paid. Time will tell if the club made a good deal or not but right now it appears good business tbh.[/QUOTE]

Tymon didn't get much of a wage here, and maybe he could have been developed more elsewhere, but not perhaps Stoke. Odubajo was getting paid ok, after his injuries it was a risk for anyone to take him on.
