Ha! Can’t help but love the guy. He’s one that for whatever reason it hasn’t quite worked for here, but he’s never complained and I still think he has a wand of a left foot. He’ll be a great signing for the right team.
No they reset at the start of January. which is lucky because we're going to have issues at DM with lemina possibly a doubt, Hojbjerg Suspended, Davis gone and Prowse already playing 90 mins twice in short succession and not too much to choose from in the academy.
I`ve got the programme from the Scotland v England game in 1974, where it says a certain Mick Channon played for Southampton Town.(goes off to look for it...)
I missed that one. If I remember correctly, we hadn’t been playing very well preceding the game, so in a fit of pique, (and to prove to my fiancée that she really was the light of my life), I took her out for dinner. She was a little concerned when we discovered the score, thinking I would be upset with her, when it was my decision. A similar thing happened after we were married and I took her to London for the weekend of our 8-2 destruction of Coventry. I know when to miss a good game, including the 9-3 game against Wolves in 1965, after which, if I am correct, we signed their keeper.
I was at the Wolves game too - it was my first trip to the Dell with my next door neighbour who was a big fan. He managed to persuade me to charge my allegiance from a certain “blue” London team .....
