I took my boys a couple of times last year: Tip Make sure no one is holding a soft drink if we score as my two soaked a grumpy bugger against Coventry. He wouldn't stop going on about it ... sticky moment until he accidentally fell asleep ... Didn't see him again
The preseason game at Luton was his first trip and he really enjoyed it, that and the turnaround of ownership has got me more excited about a new season than I've been for years
Id give the paddocks a go. I know that the Lower Loft is "The family area" but the by going to the paddock you're right on the touchline which from memory is most exciting for a kid as you can practically touch the players with it all happening so close. I am biased as that was where my Dad took me but I loved being so close to the action. However you might not want to go too close to the dug out in case old Neil passes on a few select phrases to your youngster!
I can't wait to bring my young fellow over from Ireland for a game but he is only 6 at the moment. My wife doesn't trust me to bring him over, she thinks I'll lose him in the big city!

Ahhhh shut up the lot of you! I've got 3 girls and haven't a hope in he'll of getting them to a game as their mum has well and truly done a job on them when it comes to football. Bitter? Me?? But having suffered for 27 months of pregnancy, yeah I suffered, would it be too much to hope that one of the little bastards would have a penis?! Well I hope your sons enjoy their first games, just spare a thought for those less fortunate than you.
Don't despair Roller. I was determined not to influence my boy, and of course he turned out a Gooner... Until about 4 years ago (when he was 10) when he saw the light (before the good times came back!) largely I suspect because he knew I would never take him to the Emirates. All those taking kids - enjoy, they will thank you for it for years to come, and I love the idea of support going from generation to generation. Still associate Loftus Road with being with my old man, and of course learning how to 'relax' in the Thatched House in Hammersmith after the game .... Enough nostalgia, I can't be that old!
