OK - one of my New Year Resolutions for 2019; No more 'cold-posts' about Brexit ... I might reply if somebody else brings the subject up, but I won't begin the conversation...
By the way, regarding my earlier posts about voting for UKIP; I read today that they are aligning themselves openly now with the English Defence League. I wasn't aware of any connection between those two organisations in the past, open or otherwise. I won't be voting for UKIP again.
I am a remainer. I have now got Maltese Citizenship and have applied for a Maltese passport. When I travel I will use that.
I'm going to Malta in March for a walking holiday. Never been there, but it looks good. Walking is the way to see a country, whether at home or abroad. AHLL, if you don't believe me, ask your dog.
Fair play to you DP, and I’m sure if I had your family history I would do the same. We should be able to disagree about Brexit in a comradely way (you bastard). Malta’s position on Brexit rather perfectly highlighted the absurdity of the EU. I am told that their PM - Mr Mifsud ? - has been one of the leaders behind the scenes determined to play hard ball over the UK’s democratic decision. Somewhat ironic in a very small country beset with corruption, and a Government with close links to organised crime on the island, which only recently saw them linked to the assassination of a prominent Maltese journalist.
Malta is not everyone's cup of tea. Malta is not the most picturesque of islands. But the people are friendly, historically it is very interesting and if you like Churches you will be blown away.
Thoughts on Man City v Liverpool tonight ? The whole country will be behind City - we can’t have the Scousers winning it. I am going for lots of goals.
I want the UK to leave the EU - always have. But I'm not a racist - and never have been. Flip-flopping over CAFC is one thing, but there are more important things in life that we should know where we stand on.
