Don’t think it will be 40 this season. 6 teams tracking at below a point per game. I’d go 35/36 for safety so make that 80%!

Unfortunately if the goalkeeper is MOM it means the rest are not doing their jobs properly. 25 shots against and 12 on target tells its own story. We need a midfielder who can slow the game down when necessary and really take command - can't the Pozzo's find another Pirlo anywhere ?

Hm.. would have taken a point but being twice ahead and not holding on is disappointing.

Sounds like we put ourselves about a bit which hasn't gone down well !

A couple more unnecessary yellow cards by all accounts, AD lucky not to be taking the rest of the month off too. Do we get the penalty at the end? DWF <grr><grr> Muff players have a very high centre of gravity, too. :emoticon-0121-angry

Still at least we didn't throw all of the points away.

Doucouré maybe got away with a bad tackle 1st half but it does seem so much more hostile before and after the match when we play Bournemouth than any other team!

No chance of having a adult chat about the game if you look on Twitter or the club forums.

Its almost like we are rivals and there appears to be bad blood on both sides.

Not sure the manager and some players help - Howe and Deeney always come out with a comment/dig or two.

I did like the comment that we are a TEAM of thugs - I mean Pereyra and GD really look intimidating in the tackle don't they...

Oh well - probably be the same next year!

As for the game itself - bit worried we are relying on Foster to save us but then guess he is a top goalkeeper.

    One day he won't....

  9. It is pretty hostile isn't it? I guess it's the spill over from the promotion season and the fact we are both "smaller" clubs so a rivalry works. Quite similar with Palace. As you say the exchanges on Twitter and Facebook are quite tasty.
I admire what they have done but finishing above them is always near the top of my pre season wish list!

we've alaways had needle with them , i remember way back in the mid seventies , one of their mob threw a bottle indiscriminately , it hit an old lady , panic ensued , poor woman had nothing to do with any of it , they always came tooled up , days of the football specials , mind you i remember us going to blackpool and having a smashing time with shop windows ......but babafc were always a rival , so to plymouth , and norwich , good old days when you could stand on the ash terraces , knees up in the rookery , the football was secondary ....

I can remember the promotion year under Ken Furphy, they were a rival then as well, along with Luton and Swindon. Strange to think of how history has changed those clubs - Swindon were a much bigger club then, with average crowds close to 25,000 - a much bigger club than Bournemouth or Brighton at that time.

TBH they seem to hate Brighton and Southampton as much so maybe Bournemouth are just trying to create new rivals ..

And as Dan says some of our fans feel a bit bitter about them nicking the Championship.

Least it's probably all good natured eye to eye !

They had indeed, made all the more impressive by the fact that the big teams took the League Cup seriously in those days.

I recorded MOTD and have just watched it. I wonder if Troy will be punished for basically telling the truth?
