He’s getting a panning on Twitter ...where Mr Everitt is concerned I think it’s now a case of “fool me four times....”
If he keeps saying it enough he will one day be right and expect to be blown by his gullible followers , who hang on his every word ... imagine blowing Rick though
Jim White said the takeover is closer now than it has been, possibly in the next 72 hours,by an Australian consortium.Simon Jordan discussing the situation now on TalkSport
Had a talk with Mrs Everitt before Saturday's match. She is a very nice lady, also spent £2.00 on an excellent VOTV.
Looks as if we may be going from the frying pan into the fire with the Belgian being replaced with a Aussie consortia …. I think I would have preferred the former Forest owner, or even the Leyton Orient guy.... at least they didn't come with baggage.
After over 12 months of searching the Belgian has (perhaps) found possible new owners who could end up more hated then him …. well done Roland
The reaction from our long term fans on social media to this latest “takeover news” this morning has been a collective yawn. People are now rightly cynical about individuals using the takeover for their own giant egos and self promotion.
Sorry but my experience of Charlton fans is that they don't have giant egos, nor are they interested in self promotion. Millwall fans maybe, but not Charlton fans.
Hopes of a take-over "within 48 to 72 hours" are being whipped up this evening. That should bring a few more punters through the turnstiles on Saturday as well as sell plenty of copies of VOTV. Might create an even more charged atmosphere inside the Valley as well. Bound to be plenty of speculation - will there be an announcement before the game, will there be an announcement after the game, will there be an announcement on Monday, will there be an announcement before the end of the season... Reams over on ITTV has asked the very astute question - if there is going to be a take-over before the weekend, why are Charlton scratching around for the usual suspects in this transfer window? Either this latest flurry of rumours is just more bull***t, or the new owners aren't going to invest in January. Just another reason in my view to say b*****ks to the politics and just go and watch the football.
I have read the VOTV and there is no mention of the Takeover. A very good publication and well worth the £2.00
