Hang on You said “we've been told (by a source that ISN'T Ehab, can't stress enough how important that is) thata sale is ongoing” I wasn’t giving a view on whether it is on or not, I was just asking who that source was... Who was it?
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a quote from Duffen or his Saudi backers during this whole story. The nearest the BBC got to evidencing a sale was the Allams saying goodbye to kitchen staff wasn’t it?
It's like a modern version of a Telegram [a message sent by telegraph and then delivered in written or printed form] though mainly a massage of the truth or boasting in Rehab's version
HDM? BBC? Radio Humberside (though I'm loathe to quote that link, I'm sure they have the same insiders we do)?
Why are you asking questions? Bloody hell. You said that someone had said it I was only asking who it was because I didn’t know. I still don’t because you won’t tell me who you were referring to
Sorry, crossed lines. The sources I gave are the ones that have been reporting on it, that's who I've been following. They're the ones that have not said a deal isn't happening so they're the ones I believe.
-> I don’t think I’ve ever seen a quote from Duffen or his Saudi backers during the whole story. The nearest the BBC got to evidencing a sale was the Allams saying goodbye to kitchen staff wasn’t it? At the time it seemed plausible/ logical that it was related to the sale of the club. . But maybe what they meant was that they were never returning to the KC? Perhaps now't to do with selling the club? They've already moved their squash tournament, so possibly no need to ever step foot back in there? -> HDM? BBC? Radio Humberside (though I'm loathe to quote that link, I'm sure they have the same insiders we do)? Yep, so possibly just more bullshit. Great. I no longer believe a word of it. How can we?
So you don’t know who actually said it, but you were saying that you’d read it reported? How did you know it hadn’t come from Ehab then?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evidence_of_absence In some circumstances it can be safely assumed that if a certain event had occurred, evidence of it could be discovered by qualified investigators. In such circumstances it is perfectly reasonable to take the absence of proof of its occurrence as positive proof of its non-occurrence. — Copi, Introduction to Logic (1953), p. 95
He was questioning how you hadn't seen him mention them in a previous post. I notice you do this quite a bit.
Well I hadn’t Not that it would have been relevant anyway. I was asking who the source was, and it was a genuine question because he’d said it wasn’t Ehab and I didn’t know who it was So I asked Not sure why you think that is a problem
