    Do Dortmund :

    1. badly need money

    2. have such a developing youth set-up that they can go
    meh on the boy leaving

For a club leading their league and still in the CL, it seems
    quite a strange deal.

I wonder if we will make a bid for the hull youngster bowen or faff about like we did with dh favourite Grealish. On another note I bet sessignon wishes he had signed for us now rather than extend his loan at Fulham

It looks like we extended Connor Ogilvie's loan to Gillingham, as he played yesterday in spite of his loan supposedly expiring at the end of December

They're ****ting themselves about a transfer ban this summer, having bought more foreign children than all of Hollywood. That and the imminent departure of Hazard means that they need to do business now. We should be doing something similar regarding central midfielders.

They won't get a transfer ban they are one of the darlings of the league same as man city financial fair play doesn't seem to affect them

Pulisic is a good young player but could be a big risk if they’re signing him as a potential Hazard replacement.

It’s looking similar to the Morata deal.

Morata - never was a regular starter at Juve/ Real, signed for £70m to replace a world class striker in Costa.

Pulisic - not a regular starter at Dortmund, signed for £58m to likely replace a world class winger in Hazard.

    Risky business.

It would be a FIFA one, similar to the ones received by Atletico and Barcelona. Chances are that they'd not be able to avoid it but the clubs always get enough notice to do business, so it doesn't have the impact that it should.

    To add onto this.

Fair play to Chelsea though. Seen a potential hole that needs filling and acted promptly on it.

It’s not a bad idea, eh Spurs? **cough** CENTRE MID **cough**

I might be unreasonable here but don't you think it's about time that a law was brought in stopping clubs like Chelsea stockpiling all of Europe's elite youngsters and not actually playing them.

This is FFP 2.0. It's already enacted and should come into effect this summer. It's rumoured to limit outgoing loans to 6 (maybe 8) per club. Nothing coming from UEFA is easily understood.

There is debate whether it applies to foreign players only or includes domestic players, in which case Chelsea will just steal more youth prospects from English clubs...well, more than they do already.

Think there’s two ways of looking at it, mate.

It’s clear Chelsea have an obsession of stockpiling young talent to likely prevent others from getting them and turning them into top class players but then at the same time, if a young player is dumb enough to join them, knowing full well chances have been limited for young players at Chelsea for over a decade now, then quite frankly more fool the player for joining them.

    I would.

He knows the club inside out, is correspondingly respected, puts a
shift in, and would bleed to death to help a Spurs squad at this level
    try to win the PL/CL.

So does that mean they have to sell about 40 odd players they have on loan or retain them at Chelsea and have a squad of 100 odd players for next season?

I've tried to understand what UEFA have on their website. It's unintelligible bollocks. Long term it will mean that Chelsea and Citeh can't hoard youth players and loan them out as a significant income stream. Short term, who knows?

I suppose a lot of it comes down to what wages their youngsters are on some of them are probably happy getting extortionate amounts of money for their age and don't care where they play.one deal for example was a wycombe youngster Jordan Ibe he was only 16 when he broke into the first team scored a worldy goal and then Liverpool signed him bought his mum and dad a house and him a new car and he was too young to drive ffs
