    Warnock is what Warnock does.
As I said : poor man's Arry (his formation today was
as baffling as some of the Arry 2012 ones) .

  2. An interception that was a tad late and he caught the Cardiff players foot.
Arguably a booking these days but not always given by any means.

That was a stroll, like a practice match, we never got out of second gear and spent the most of the match in first. It was disappointing we eased off as there was a good opportunity to increase our goal difference, but understandable with our recent and upcoming schedule.

I thought that was a very professional performance, yes the first goal was a little fortuitous but as Souness said Harry makes his own luck by making the run and being in the right place. 2 good goals finished them off before half time, then we basically played within ourselves saved energy and as much as they huffed and puffed Hugo really had nothing difficult to deal with.

4 games in 10 days is madness and 9 pts is actually an excellent return for such a ridiculous schedule, now we can rest players on Friday and prepare for 2 massive matches at Wembley next week.

Happy new year lets hope 2019 brings some silverware

  6. Agree that it was a professional performance against a very poor Cardiff.
Eriksen, Sonny, Harry & SuperMoussa all excellent
Winks, Rose, Hugo & Toby all very efficient
Big Dave was steady enough but has some worrying moments which you can’t help feeling might come back to bite against stronger opposition.
Trippier, likewise again showed defensive frailties that were nearly costly.
Dele...... well, really not sure what was going on with him tonight. Covered ground as usual, made some decent passes and runs, but something wasn’t right..... barely made a tackle all night and looked strangely disturbed when he was finally subbed. Hope all’s well with him.......

Complete change around for Friday and then back to the 1st 11 v United - COYS!!

Colin has been his usual graceful self in the aftermath of tonight's game. He has called for Moussa Sissoko to be red carded for a tackle that was just about a foul. Further, he's demanding that Spurs be excluded from their own stadium until next season.

I saw the Wolves game as a mentally defining game. We came out in the 2nd half and went all Spursy.

We start tonight's game 9 points off the top and once again dismissed as serious contenders and we are back to winning ways. We didn't play brilliantly but didn't need to.

Why do we do this? Baffling :emoticon-0181-fubar

We have had a great Xmas football wise in the grand scheme of things...plenty of goals and still very much in the mix...City beat Pool and the gap is 6 points...and we are well back in it. Just don't know how we can overcome this crazy mental block we have.

I thought Spurs footballing passing was superb, but allowed to control the game by a very bad Cardiff side, even though the Cardiff fans tried to raise them.
I thought seeing Danny Rose continuing to head the ball....did he have springs in his boots today?
I did say in the past that I rated Sissoko as bad as David Jenkins.I haven't the forgeist idea what has changed the man around. He was brilliant! But he can't shoot to save his life!!!!!!

I hate to say this.....but......come on City!

    This is flawed thinking.

That result would mean Spurs are back to where they were two games ago.
However there are now TWO LESS games available to attempt to cut down that 6 pt gap.

That is why the Wolves game was so important.

If it becomes the boot up the arse that drives the squad out of
complacency and making excuses for slackness/failure, great.
If not, there will be more such games to come against teams
at the level of Wolves (or worse) .

Silva says it would have been a different game if they'd gone 2 up even though we put 6 past them and Warnock coming out talking about red cards when his team got beat in 25 minutes and Rose dominated his side in the air.

Remember to drink in moderation guys, you don't want to become like those two! :D

The Watford and Wolves games followed the same pattern.
The Wolves game just has the greater significance (relating to
a repeated question asked of Spurs under Pochettino) .

Time will tell whether that result will act as a rallying cry
just as the NLD PL result seemed to (it will need to be, given
    the fixtures this month) .

His red card interview was great....

"it should at least of been a yellow" ... so the lack of a yellow card, just before half time, when we were 3 up, swung the game in our favour <laugh>

As for where we should or should not be allowed to play our home matches <laugh>

He blames everyone but himself ... when Sheffield United went down on the last day of the season, he blamed Liverpool and United for playing weakened teams, and the FA for not deducting points from West Ham but says nothing about his team blowing a 9 or 10 point lead over the bottom 3 with a month to go!
