It was Truro v Torquay today. The attendance: 2,812. Of which 2,760 of them were away fans.

 

Won 5 in a row, unbeaten in 7 according to google. Love seeing Nigel do well.

 

Adkins' results with Hull are extraordinary. That squad is cobbled together out of loans, free/extremely cheap signings, and Jarrod Bowen. The owners are solely aiming to turn enough profit to make the club a desirable asset, and relations with the fans are so poor that the stadium is mostly empty. There are few more toxic situations in English football, and yet they have 27 points in 11 matches.

They'll still probably kneecap him by selling off anything of value in January, but he has likely saved them for this season at least.

 

Someone soon will sign that Bowen too, quality player.

 

That's more than they usually get at home!

That explains a lot, although there were about 25k Gulls fans at Wembley for the FA Trophy cup final when I went.

Mentioned to brb on PL board before that got a family member from Gillingham so have been to a few of their games over the years and he follows them too. Wasn't going to say no to a free ticket at the new Wembley regardless of the match.

I'll be ****ed if can remember the score though, think Ebbsfleet won? I'll try and dig my ticket out at some point n post it.

Watched them at Salisbury randomly once too.

1-0 to Ebbsfleet as I recall, pretty crappy match IIRC and to cap it all my Dad (a true Devonian) lost his coach ticket for the return and had to pay again!

Ebbsfleet are the old Gravesend and Northfleet FC that an old mate of mine used to follow having grown up there, he used to have this on an old 45 and drove us mad by playing it all the time!...

 

I think Billy is a very good Championship Striker but a little out of his depth higher up but i'm so chuffed for the lad after all his troubles.

 

Personally no. I know you can say you never know but I don't think he was ever PL quality imo.

I know it's petty but I'm actually quite pissed off he's taken that record from Rickie too

 

Kind of agree but he knows where the goal is and given our striking record over the last few seasons, he could have bagged quite a few for us.

 

My thoughts are that a top striker in the championship would have a good chance in Pl.

Give him a chance in the penalty area and its likely he will score. We probably wouldn't have created any chances for him though
