Hope the Potter experimenting is now over, we need to build confidence for this new year!!...........................
I can't believe this is what Huw Jenkins is claiming : "There was a big turnaround in the summer as major changes were the priority in terms of the staff and squad, those changes were made in order to provide us with a chance to quickly turn our fortunes around and mount a challenge for a promotion push to get back to the Premier League at our first attempt." https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/huw-jenkins-claims-swansea-city-15610310 I'm stunned.
Well, Mr. Potter selects (arguably) the strongest starting XI available to him currently, and surprise surprise, we win..... Hopefully, no more tinkering for Championship matches
The man is an unintelligent egomaniac, but it is so nice to see him making an utter fool of himself in the public gaze, he'll be history before too long.................
"I can't believe this is what Huw Jenkins is claiming ". Well, DON'T believe it then. That's your prerogative. Do you really think he gives a toss ?
Great performance and a well deserved win today and that was without either of the younger flying wingers , so it was very satisfying in the way the goals were created but again a change to the starting line up which in this case paid off .Hopefully Potters a lot closer to what he perceives to be his best 11but it did look like Rodon made full use of his enforced lay off and MOM for me would be Mike , Regarding Jenkins, his reputation is slowly unravelling in the media, its been a long time coming but its a start .
Missed you at the game. Thought Routs and Dyer put in good shifts. Fer was ok in fits and starts, he bloody annoyed me with some passes where he just didn’t look for the player, just passed it to space to no man. Thought we closed them down really well, but we took our foot off the gas last 20 and we paid for it with their goal.
Nev I couldn't make it , I've only torn my abductor muscle in my groin so walking at the moment is painful to say the least, with an ice pack as my new best friend and unless I wore a nappy it could have been a bit embarrassing with a wet looking crotch and a pained look on my face .Fer for me is now our weakest link and has been since his return from injury ,lazy on the ball , a lack of awareness of what about him he's a big disappoint for me. Their goal came from his half hearted attempt at a tackle or am I being too harsh?
No far from it. He was good in patches and poor in patches. We got about them, stopped them playing and actually got some very good tackles in. Hell Dyer and Routs managed a few. I loved the way Dyer was a good outlet and held the ball up well same with Routs plus both very effective combination with Naughton and Roberts. They have to be out starting wingers.
