I'm going to cut down on the smokes.
I'm going to find religion. All suggestions welcome.
I'm going to win GC Poster of the Year.

What are your resolutions for 2019?

    I don't make resolutions either.

I'm not very resolute that way.

I'm quite melancholy about this new year as the world has just got a whole lot worse...

Went metal detecting yesterday on my Roman field only to find that the farmer has spread "green waste" on the field. This is the chopped up and composted stuff from household garden waste bins.Trouble is people put any old **** in their bins so I spent the time digging up scraps of tin foil, tin cans and all sorts of crap. By my reckoning* the field is now strewn with 30,000 scraps of metal and is now unsearchable. Also the background signals from all the really small scraps mean you have to set the discrimination so high to get a stable machine that you'll miss any deep small targets.

    * I estimate I covered 0.1% of the surface and dug up 30 scraps of aluminium.

Do you actually mean that the farmer put it on his field and not your Roman field? ****ing tit.
