Grew up not far away on Bromyard Avenue in East Acton, under 1mile as crow flies and a quick walk along Uxbridge Road, then we moved out to Northolt which wasn't too bad as it's also on the Central Line. My annual trip to HQ is now a 900 mile round trip, either by car, or a cheapo flight (I'm only 20 minutes from Glasgow Airport so not too bad).

Big kudos to all you who make the trip far more regularly than myself <applause>

Grew up in Ealing, so used to be a short journey by bus, then moved to Watford so a bit longer. Two glorious years with a ten minute commute from Westbourne Grove, and now 2h17 by eurostar and another 40 minutes on the underground since moving to Paris in 2010. Only make a few games a year these days. :emoticon-0106-cryin

HS1 from Ashford international to St Pancras then underground to White City. When I lived in London I lived at 1 Denham house (if you stand with your back to the club shop it’s the bottom corner flat in front of you) I was home before some people had left the ground and had a great view of running battles up and down South Africa road.

I too was born in Hammersmith Hospital and spent my first 13 years living in Rhodes House ( behind the school end, since demolished, ) less than a one minute walk to the ground.

Now live in Surrrey 14.3 miles from the ground which could be a 30 minute drive on a good day, or 2 hours 40 minutes on a bad one as it was the other week for the Hull match. The train is usually an hour door to door, when they can be bothered to run.

We used to play football on the green between Denham House and Campbell House. Each block had its own team and used to arrange matches against each other.

M40 from Stratford upon Avon to West Ruislip (about 85 miles) - Central Line to Shepherd's Bush - beer in The Bull at Westfield - walk to the ground. Same return trip. Try to get to about 10 games per season total (home and away) - Norwich (H), Sheff W (H), Rotherham (A), Boro (H) so far this season. Happiest I've been for years with the football (apart from the first 4 games....)

Just been over for the Ipswich game which was my 10th game this season. Dublin to London is 365 miles each way so 730 mile round trip for me. Thankfully my journeys are made easier as I am only 10/15 minutes from Dublin airport. Just got my Aer Lingus silver card which gives me fast track through security, priority boarding and lounge access. These little privilege's make the travelling slightly easier. Had a couple of swift free glasses of vino in the lounge to celebrate our 3-0 win over Ipswich. Have booked the Preston game in January and also Bristol City away in February so I am looking good to make 15 games or so this season. I know at least a couple of lads from here who go to a few more games than me. They are both fantastic supporters.

After a few years of dreadful matches, it is a real pleasure to attend this season's games. If anybody hasn't been for a while, I would urge you to make a trip over. You will enjoy the day.

I have only been to a match at Loftus Rd 4 times (2 wins, 1 loss and a draw) in my life. For three of them I commuted in from Ealing, near the Castle Bar rail station, and once from Lewisham. From where I live in Canada, it is about a 7 hour flight plus associated ground travel from my home to Toronto and Heathrow to LR.

    And £400. Each way.

Which is why I don't get to too many matches.

Alperton used to thump my school, or at least my year of my school, at football with depressing regularity. Mind you we were laughably bad, otherwise I would never have got a game. But on the odd occasion we did win, the reaction in Assembly when the results were read out was epic.

I remember playing on the wing for my school away to Alperton on a Wednesday afternoon. All was well until school ended for the day and they all came out to watch the game. Every time I got the ball near the side-line, the spectators would aim kicks at me, the bastards.
