I dont think Iheanacho was booed. Puel got booed for taking Vardy off Iheanacho is a finisher but atm he seems scared of getting into positions where he can score in case he misses. The crowd getting on his back he forced him into his shell. He basically hid when he came on spending more time near the left back position then up front. He needs a solid run of games but for that to happen he needs to deliver something. The FA cup game at Newport will be his big chance. Look how well he took his goals last season so you can see there is quality there. Just need some support and confidence
Mate was in the crowd vs Palace and said he was booed when he came on then. He definitely needs time but it seems something good is happening behind the scenes as despite the boos, vs Cardiff was the first time in a long while he was truly giving it some welly when closing down the keeper and chasing admittedly rubbish balls played to him.
Ghezzal ffs Schmeichel, Simpson, Evans, Maguire, Chilwell, Ndidi, Mendy, Choudhury, Ricardo, Ghezzal, Vardy Subs- Ward, Soyuncu, Fuchs, Albrighton, Maddison, Gray, Okazaki
I hope to be wrong but I don’t think I’ve ever seen a worse winger wear our shirt since Eddie Newton about 10 years ago
Eddie Newton lol. You mean Shaun Newton The 2 Hungarian wingers was much worse then Newton. Gabor Bori and Zsolt Laczko
I really hope he has a storming game today, just to shut up those that moan at the mention of his name. IMO people are mindless to stick the boot in to one of OUR players, even before the game has kicked off. FFS give it a rest!!!!!!!!
I get your point but isn’t that the point of this forum? At the game you support everyone but, whilst I personally think I’m quite positive about things, I do agree that Ghezzal is so poor that he’s on a similar level to Josh Low and therefore am going to feel negative when I see him starting
What is the idea in playing Ricardo out of position on the left? He's been our best player recently when playing on the right. He doesn't look at all comfortable on the left. If the plan is to keep it tight until late and then bring on Maddison and Albrighton, just start players in their normal position - Gray out on the left and maybe Iborra or Okazaki behind Vardy.
They did both had excellent debuts though and one of them went on to be alright for us - can’t remember which one
He's not so far but no-one is really covering themselves in glory here. Lacklustre and no creativity. Everton are slightly better but not much.
Been saying that for a while - kid has played every premier League game and I'm not sure if he has ever been subbed off.
What do I know? It turned out to be a master stroke. Great 3 points, and a defensive display that matched any in our title winning season.
That was a rubbish game but we won which is all that matters. Hopefully we will see a lot of changes vs Newport - lot of the lads look knackered.
