Well if you really are suggesting teams think gkn and janssen are worth loads (whilst not offering it) then levy is stupid for thinking they are still worth that. Even worse if levy has gotten that suggestion by having had those offers from clubs then he really is dumb not to have sold to the detriment of your squad
Read my post again. Levy would be stupid if he wanted to make back what he paid. Why do you think he does? I'm quite sure that no one is going to offer what we paid for Janssen or Nkoudou and also quite sure that Levy knows that too.
What I meant by team is the group of people in Spurs who recommend signings to Levy. @Dier Hard apologies if that wasn't clear.
The thing with Jassen is (IIRC) a chunk of his fee is in add-ons that obviously won't have been paid, and coupled with how Fenerbahce's president stated they paid a €5m loan fee last season we'd probably be in the black if sold him for £10m
Try Not To Point Out The Error Too Early... In today's Daily Wail, rather than give false figures for what our ST/\DIUM is costing instead they are linking us with FOUR (their emphasis) signings in January, namely... Viktor Tsyhankov, the Israeli-born Ukrainian international winger who is drawing certainly not hyperbolic comparisons with Gareth Bale, with the Wail going as far as to claim we're already in negotiations for a £16m move Tanguay Ndombele Eric Bailly Nathan Ake Jack Grealish Jarrod Brown An as-yet unidentified "versatile forward" You might notice that's more than four players...
I don't get that one. It's a position that somebody could break through in during the next couple of seasons. Odd.
Viktor Tsyhankov - No Tanguay Ndombele - Yes Eric Bailly - No Nathan Ake - Yes Jack Grealish - Yes Jarrod Brown - Don’t mind
Brown certainly looked like he was capable of being the sort of marauding full back Poch likes so it's strange he was allowed to leave - although it could make sense if the club are looking to move Dennis Cirkin into the U23s for the second half of the season, which meant either Brown or Reynolds would have to make way and Brown was the one with some interest
Or maybe if we were looking for another left-back in the January window, perhaps? Not sure why we wouldn't just contract him up and either loan him out or give him a shot. Maybe he wouldn't go for it?
On the one hand the previously-linked Max Aarons has been known to play as a left back, on the other hand for every game he's played on the left he's played five on the right...
I'd suggest this as a guide for which positions need to be addressed sooner rather than later please log in to view this image The fact that KWP and Skipp aren't that far off the amount of playing time Wanyama's had this year is particularly noticeable
Looks like it’s Huddersfield who are signing Brown. Apparently discussing a compensation package with us.
Would need to see the stats for km run as well. Even without, you can guarantee that Kane has a high km run per minute of game time (ie he always puts a shift in) .
Good news: TuttoMercato reckon we’re trying to secure a deal for Berge and will meet the €25m asking price. Bad news: They’re saying it could possibly be an Alli-esque type deal that sees him remain with Genk for the remainder of the season.
Viktor Tsyhankov - No idea who he is Tanguay Ndombele - ditto Eric Bailly - ditto ditto Nathan Ake - mer Jack Grealish - **** NO Jarrod Brown - NO idea who he is
It’s actually Jarrod Bowen, I just copied HBIC’s post, lol. Young Hull wing-forward who’s been in pretty good form the past couple seasons. Not really someone we need right now although if Lamela keeps picking up these injuries during the remainder of the season, for as much as I love the guy, it may be reaching a stage similar to Dembele where we just can no longer rely on him and thus will need to replace. You’ll come round to Super Jack sooner or later.
