    Its just not the same game imo. If you watch the 2nd goal Brazil score in that game, you will see a player from Italy just standing there on the edge of the box. Can't compare with the game now.

    <doh>

    Please. Did i saying anything negative about the skill? The game is just different now. Holland 1974 changed the game and even Brazil could not match that. So that 1970 Brazil team does not compare imo.

    i still think the 70's team would beat the Dutch team,having seen both play.Even West Germany with Beckenbauer and Muller etc,who beat the Dutch in 74 got turned over

    1.Brazil 82 ( easily best team NOT to win world cup).Plus they played in the BEST world cup I can remember, even better than Italia 90
    2. Barce now ( best club side Ive ever seen)
    3. Liverpool 88 ( best British club side ive ever seen )
    4. Spain now ( best international team ive ever seen,wud have been very close with Brazil 82 though, who were a better side than the eventual winners)
    5. Milan 90 (most professsional team ever , excellent defensively )

    If there was a game between Brazil 82 and Spain 2010 , you would HAVE to play with 2 balls, both IMPOSSIBLE to get the ball off.

    barcelona 2009 - to date - it is a pleasure to be able to watch one of the greatest teams ever assembled and to have the privalege of watching one of the greatest players to ever kick a ball (Messi). we may never see a better player or team in our lives so i am appreciating it.

    liverpool 2001, 2009 - many may question why i didnt put 2005 in but in reality we were rubbish in 2005 apart from in europe and even then we nearly lost in the qualifiers, lost 2 games in the group stages and got outplayed for 75% of both the semi and the final, 2001 was more memorable to me, yes not as prestigious but after going 11 years with winning just 1 lge cup winning 5 in 6 months and managing to clinch champs lge football for the first time was special, 2009 was imo our best team assembled since we last won the league, we were the best team that year, pity we didnt take advantage, still was a pleasure to watch.

    never really been interested in other teams, can remember brazil winning world cup and r madrid interested me during the 90's but neither really captivated me.

    Between Brazil 82 and Spain 10, yeah I think your right I think Spain wudda won, mainly cos Brazil 82 just didnt give a f$$k about defendin,it was all about attackin and entertainin

    For those too young for Brazil 82, I think they had about 5 players who would get in the current Barce team, no problem

    Weird how Brazil have teams win the world cup since,not good enough to lace Brazil 82's boots who didnt even make the semis, but still scored about 15 goals in the process.Brazil 82 ,most ENTERTAINING team Ive ever seen,but not quite the best

    I used to enjoy watching Real Madrid in the Zidane, Raul and Figo era in the early naughties. I used to watch La Liga a lot back then.
