I am suggesting that two of the best three sides in the country are meeting. They happen to currently be the top two However atm ruling one side out of that group of three would be pure arrogance. They may have a recent history of not winning things (bit like ourselves)but that means diddly squat atm. They are a very very good side, their downfall may very well be too many games to play, but equally they could go on a roll. I am not suggesting any are better just yet - i am just not ruling any of them out There is a fine line beween arrogance and confidence. As for your last line, nope i dont have a weird love for that side. I however, do respect any club who has achieved what they have achieved. Do i like it - no, not one bit and every season they better us(which has been most of my life) i get bantered to death at work by gloating manc fans !!! Usually despite me having said nothing i tend to get all the stupid daft comments thrown at me that numpties have come out with, i dont even know where they pull them from !!! In terms of their previous manager, no problem with not liking him because of his persona or style but to say he is ****, i find, again a tad arrogant. Earlier in his career I, personally, found him entertaining and it was funny that people fell for his antics. He provided me relief at work watching the utd fans (ironically) get in a knot about him. Definitely no love there though
Yeah good chance of that, like the earlier one this season. I think it will depend how city approach the game more than us. Cant see us going there for the point but you never know. We could just could just cancel each other out too. But i am OPTIMISTIC for a great game
Whoa, steady on there, mate. I don't know what to expect. Pep clearly has the jitters when it comes to Klopp, and played not to lose last time -but he really can't afford to not win this time. Not only do we have significant daylight between us, but he has Spuds breathing down his neck too. You'd think he really must come out and play, so who knows?
I cannot see seven goals in this game, because both managers are gping to approch with caution.I am predicting 1:2
This game is one of those where literally any result is possible. I know that could be said of every game and it’s true to a degree But with this if we were to smash them by 3-4 clear goals I would not be surprised If they were to smash us by 3-4 clear goals I would not Be surprised Equally now a 0-0 could occur. My hope is that the cushion we have does not dampen our intensity. I don’t think it will for this game but no matter what the result it is a possibility in next few games - something we need to guard against.
Pep would not like to lose ttwo games at home within a short period of time, the temptation is there for him to go for broke,he also have the caution of not wanting to lose.
Well for City it's a must not lose game. A draw is better for us than them but not the end of the world for them. If they lose though that might brake them psychologically. 9pts back and lost to your title rivals... That's going to smart. For us a win would be amazing but a draw is still a positive result. (Gap stays same, but time left to maintain gap shrinks). I wouldnt be surprised if both teams are set up a little more defensive than normal.
We have been able to overtake city on goal difference, which was unthinkable in November we must continue the momentum.
Let's be honest even if city win we will still have a four point lead, a fabulous situation for any team. Yes a draw or a win for us would be fabulous but a loss is not necessarily the disaster some people are making out.
I think they have a dilemma as their defence really needs more help from MF/FWs but that will take away from their attack against the best defence in the league *. I fail to see City keeping a clean sheet so that immediately leaves us in a strong position. *not a statement i ever expected to be making whilst Klopp is in charge
So are you saying spurs are better than either? If not then surely you’d just say the two best teams? otherwise you could just say 2 of the best 20 teams in englabd meet every weekend across 10 games
I'd prefer to just play the game and play it the right way which is to pressure that back line and aim to give city as little of the ball as possible
True. But I want us to be snide ****s and really go for it. Get in the refs ear. Failing that, we’ll just beat them properly.
