Some of our newer fans would have had a fit of the vapours at those scenes. Demands for points deductions etc...for the away team.

I remember that match - you could hear the crack as George Lyalls leg or ankle broke half way around the ground

Could tell how horrific the injury was to George Lyall at the other end of the ground. You could see his foot twist round from all that distance.

A Phil Brown. Not THE Phil Brown though. He did play for them over 10 years later.

There’s only one way you can reasonably predict this game.

Which means the outcome is ****ing obvious.

Toothless performance and a 1-0 or 2-0 loss.

    Happens every time.

You could be right, I hope not, but who would have predicted Wolves turning Spurs over and Cardiff going to Lesta and winning after the run both Spurs and Lesta have been on.

P.S. I still think we will have enough to get a close win, maybe 1-0.

That “curse” only seemed to exist in the PL.

    Let’s keep defying expectations.

It existed when Bruce won it in the Championship for Dec 2012, we didn't win a league game the following month.

I've just popped on the Bolton thread to see what's being said about tomorrow's game, the last thing posted on there was 27th November, a countdown clock for Christmas..... Jesus I could actually feel the wind and see the rolling tumble weed....
I have no idea why someone posted "moderator wanted".... got to be the easiest job...ever..., then again it could of been a miss spelling of " generator"... I know where there's a few of them..

I can see it being officially under 10k for the first time tomorrow.

No public transport, people spent up after Christmas and New Year and every has got a hangover after NYE.

Will crowds elsewhere be lower because of those things?

They use other forums. 606 isn't the board of choice everywhere.

Prepare properly and we will do fine. Assume the game is already won and we will get beat.

Make no mistake, Bolton are proper **** at the moment. I’d have expected us to beat them even when we were doing badly.

    Only quitters will have hangovers!

NYE into City at home non stop session would avoid a hangover, you just need to plan better Cas ;)

Think the gate will be up on previous games tbh after the bizz of the Leeds win and recent good form

Went to Bolton in ther promotion season of 76/77, virtually no Hull support in the ground...would be under 50 there ? Fantastical vocal support from Bolton, 3 sides of the ground singing.
We took better support in the early 80's when i nearly got jumped outside if i hadn't off leaped over the turnstiles, given they have the Manchester teams near by there support as being far better than ours over the years.
