Also if people are going to post this rubbish at least get your facts right. BBC: 220 people have attempted the crossing in small boats since November. A few more than 4?
With respect Ellers, if you read it properly the post says in and average DAY.....so 220 in 2 months is about right I’d reckon. Can’t comment on if the other figures are correct.
With respect Staines it’s all in the writing. The bloke knew exactly what he was writing. He intending it to read the way. Otherwise he would have made it clear. If he hadn’t, then his post wouldn't have had the impact. It was similar to that post regarding the commons where the pictures shows a full house debating MP’s wage rise and an empty house with something serious like ‘homelessness’. I noticed it had a flaw and pointed it out. Sadly people are gullible for these types of posts. They pop up all the time on Facebook.
Honestly not wanting to get into a row with you but your original comment insinuated that the tweet was incorrect and the figures were wrong.....when in fact they weren’t (according to your figures anyway) How you read it doesn’t come into it.....just saying mate.
anyway all those french boat people are going to need housing etc wont this just add numbers to the homeless figures etc
Staines why do you need to get into a 'Row' over something so irrelevant? Sorry I don’t get it? Anyway it’s called the ‘written word’. It’s how people read things and how they interpret them. For me and I am sure the author, for best effect you would write it the way he has. Just imagine if he had said, “220 small boat attempts since November”… different outcome. I Just found it strange that he has all those figures at hand (which you yourself said, “Can’t comment on if the other figures are correct”). Yet he fails to clarify it. If he is talking of daily figures, then he is wrong.
If you multiply all the numbers by 59, they will show approximate figures since the start of November. To save anyone the hassle, it's a similar list in a similar order but all the numbers are 59 times bigger...
Yes, Tory-boy. Your original response was to blame Labour for current levels of poverty and homelessness, which is pathetic and plain ridiculous. Read again and understand the statistics, if you're able.
You see once again you are getting nasty. I am able to look at things from both sides and make an informed judgement. Whereas you are so stuck in your lefty ways you can't see anything but red (pun intended). So according to you all the homeless and people using food banks are because of the Tories and there was no such thing as homelessness under Labour? Go away and read up as once again you are talking rubbish.... And posting ridiculous incorrect tweets. Better still go and read some of the responses to the blokes original tweet. Plenty on there correcting his favourable figures.
Oh my, a giant ****ing sigh. Can you not see through your blue-tinted, Tory-boy glasses that poverty and homelessness have increased massively under this detestable government? You have a degree don't you, so you really should be able to understand this stuff.
