I was really shocked by today's performance. The concourse was displaying the line up for the West Ham match initially and it seemed ok given the opposition. This was subsequently up-dated and the omission of several keys players was perplexing. I had the impression that some might not have been fully fit and were being held in reserve for the Chelsea match. Prior to kick off, there almost seemed to be some crazy logic to the selection. Unfortunately, other than the 15 minute period where we had equalised, this was a woeful and inept performance. Only McCarthy can hold his head up high. The selection and change in tactics after ten minutes has dented my confidence in Ralph with the players seemingly to lose all confidence by the second half. It was abject and maybe salutary to Ralph that there is absolutely no depth in this squad. However, if Cedric was fit, it seems ridiculous that he was not even in the squad. The West Ham match was poor, a performance spoilt by sloppy passing. This case seemed lost before we stepped on to the pitch and reminded me very much of the dross that Pellegrino produced. I am appreciative that Ralph needs time to sort out the ****storm he has inherited but there was sufficient for me today to have the grains of doubt about whether he is as good as we thought. Every manager has blips and makes mistakes. You cannot win every game , especially against what is probably the greatest football team in the history of the Premiership. Yes, following the public criticism of McCarthy on Thursday, I am not as comfortable with Ralph as I had been. Today we saw that his job was far larger than anyone imagined.
Disagree! In the last two games they didn't field their best 11. In this game they were more fired up because they had lost the lsat two so played the best and were really up for it
We played Man city, With a team of players who have rarely played together this season< also How young was our defense. Jesus Christ.
Oh she’d never let me out at this time on a Sunday, unless I’d been very well behaved. Do you not deliver ?
It’s unacceptabe for him to desperately try and win the ball? What do you want out captain and midfield battler to do?
I don't think he tried to win the ball. That was a tackle borne out of frustration and I didn't think he cared if he wiped out Fernandinho.
Do you honestly think a player goes around a pitch thinking, “ooh if I get this wrong I’ll miss 4 games.” Come on Tom.
Oh Tom I know you don’t read this, but as someone who regularly talks as much bollocks as you that’s even a bad one by your standards.
They should be going around thinking if i get this wrong i could break his ankle and then not doing studs up feet in the air challenges like that. its really not hard.
Nor do I normally, but I don’t mind good quality ***gots with a nice creamy mash and gravy, with a nice pint.
