Re: Hjobjerg. Red card or not, he was a ****ing idiot for making that challenge. We are gonna miss him so badly.
He either meant to seriously hurt Fernandinho intentionally or he mistimed his tackle... Which one is it? There is no other option.
Referees are always giving out silly yellow cards, Especially in top 6 games to appease the big 6. A stern talking to from Ralph will suffice, If he doesn't learn from this then yes. He was obviously in a passionate state of mind when he made the tackle.
I think the frustrating thing is the inconsistency which funnily enough coincides with the big teams getting decisions go for them and little teams get the same go against us. Case in point Liverpool have had several penalties in just the last few games for bugger all contact...well, the same amount of contact that JWP went down with, but it’s saints so no penalty. Van Dijk challenge pictured earlier in the thread not a red card, but PEH plays for little old saints so it’s a red for him. It’s there for all to see and it happens time after time.
Everyone said on Thursday that we missed Pierre badly and now he's out for 4 games it just gets shrugged off! That's what pisses me off. He's an influential player and the captain. He needs to learn what he did was unacceptable and a fine is a suitable punishment.
I could name several players that have let the club down way more than Pierre has this season, he made a split second poor decision in the heat of a match where he was probably getting frustrated that his effort wasn't getting the reward it deserved.
Punching someone in the face is unacceptable, mistiming a tackle ain’t. Your taking it to far , his punishment is being sent off, why would the club fine him, **** me!
Bit of column A, bit of column B when it comes to Pierre for me. Think it was reckless and stupid, but can give him the benefit of the doubt that it was borne of passion rather than petulance. And his passion is a hugely positive of his game. He can learn and will learn.
This, a thousand times this. And we could very easily have been going in a goal up at half time. Entitled much? Vin
We can buy some ****ty players cant we! Plus a couple on loan, this club has gone so far down hill in the last few years with its recruiting. I believe Ralph can pull us out of this mess, but we need to start signing the right type of player that fits his system or we are well and truly ****ed. Def penalty, been giving those all season, watched the replay from very angle and the city player pushed into him from behind, do not need to have to have been a referee to understand the rules of the game, except they change with the bigger clubs, that is the travesty of that decision. Did not expect anything from todays game, we had our chances, ala Charlie one on one and his header that was well saved, but we need players to take the one v one and he is no longer at this level, and what is it with us and the final 7 or 8 minutes before half time, would be interesting to know how many goals we have conceded in the last two seasons, during that period of time before the end of the first halve.
Rather than joining in with what’s going on, what’s the point of Mo Ely? Worked hard but is completely useless, in fact it was his mistackle (yet another one) that resulted in the PEH incident
