Yeah and Lemina could have really used a rest. Instead he'll have to play every minute and Hojbjerg can enjoy the whole of January off. Yay. Only good thing is that one of them is the cup game, and if we tactically draw it the replay will get him back for the Everton match.
It’s quite clearly a red I an at a complete loss as how anyone sees it differently. It was almost knee height
This is completely different to the pathetic little pass Xhaka did last night. Pierre could easily have broken his ankle. We're no longer in the 1980's where players could get away with murder.
Usually the other way around (at least in the past before I was on hiatus), but you've lost your head this time mate I'm afraid and Tom is right.
Tom, that’s just you choosing when it’s ok for a referee to use the rules. Pierre cares more than you and that’ll do for me.
Whilst not surprised at the result I was surprised by our performance which was disappointing even allowing for City's quality. PEH was asking the ref to make a decision unfortunately, no need to make that tackle and will miss the more important game at Chelsea now. Personally I wouldnt start Lemina again in a Saints shirt because it looked like he couldn't be asked.
Gees, we did not need this, not with the other 3 looking at daylight peeping through after their wins....
He flew in off the ground and scissored him. How anyone can not see that’s a red is beyond me. The VVD one was a red too, doesn’t make this one any less of a red. Only saving grace for VVD was he won the ball first
So was the Arsenal one the other night, but apparently you don’t always have to apply the rules... and Andy Caroll’s... which was worse.
If that "tackle" was on one of our players, we would all be screaming for a red card. It was a correct call by the ref
