I must have missed this thread first time round, some amazing buildings, bridges etc pictured here. Something not mentioned so far for those that like to explore buildings in London, is The Open House Day, actually it's two days over a weekend, held in London every year usually 3rd week in September. You can go in a lot of amazing buildings in London, that not normally open to public, mostly for free and most without booking! Some you do need to book as they are very popular! Done it a couple of times, seen some amazing churches I never knew existed, been inside the Appeal Courts in Holborn and listened to the clerk of the court tells us the stories of people who had been there. The Pall Mall Club, the Art Deco news paper building on Fleet Street, just can't remember the paper and lots more, too many to list but gives an idea. Sorry, no clue how to post a link but am sure if anyone interested they can google! Just thought I would mention in case some of you had never heard of it. Cate
My Scottish mate (who I worked with in Hong Kong on the Tsing Ma Bridge) has just finished running that project for the third crossing. Coincidentally he's a QPR supporter.
