So we suddenly have a spare 30m do we? https://soccersouls.com/2018/12/22/...p-them-achieve-automatic-promotion-with-ease/
What a terrific idea - https://www.edp24.co.uk/news/norwich-city-academy-delia-smith-christmas-dinner-1-5829209 'Second-year scholar, Zach Dronfield, who was working front-of-house, said: “It’s a completely different experience than we are used to, because obviously we are normally out on the pitch training or playing matches. “It’s been good being in a different environment and trying new things. It has taken me and the boys out of our comfort zone, but I’m enjoying it.”
,Despite Oliveira’s qualities, Norwich haven’t missed him too much this season., You're having a laugh, miss him, can't get shot of him quick enough
Put your wooden spoon away and stop stirring, Sutton https://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2018/12/...-celtic-should-target-re-signing-teemu-pukki/
In fairness he was joking, and it's just short of hilarious if Celtic ever thought we'd be willing to sell for what they could afford or that Pukki would give up a chance of the PL for that watered down version up in Scotland.
£20M with a loan back until the end of the season sounds better!!!! Seriously though - I'd rather he stayed and to play in yellow and green.
The sources of this rumour are the Sun and HITC, so I won't worry too much about it yet: "Aarons would obviously be a signing made with one eye on the future, because with Kieran Trippier and Serge Aurier currently at Spurs, it is hard to imagine the teenager forcing his way past those two established stars. He is an attacking full-back in every sense, and would fit perfectly into Poch's setup, although maybe he is not quite ready for a top four Premier League side just yet. The Sun claims that Tottenham are keen on the Norwich ace, and are prepared to pay £15 million for his services in January, before immediately loaning him back to the East Anglian outfit." Looks like journo deadline stuff to me. Why would Aarons swap first team football for us to become third choice RB for Spurs?
Wow. Tight Tottenham starting with a 15M bid? Sounds unlikely, but if true, then what a compliment to Max.
IMO Any sale would have to include a loan back till the end of the season at the very least. If we don't go up then Aarons could be next seasons Maddison, in that his sale would keep us financially ok for next season. I think I would prefer if we kept him at least until the summer, excluding injury I think his value is only going to rise. If we go up it would be in ours and his interests to stay with us for the PL ride. We seem to have good links with Spurs and I hope it continue's as I like their style of football and attitude in bringing on youngsters. I'd be really surprised if DF & Webber didn't have a plan to replace any player we sold.
Onel came on after 63 minutes when the score was still 1-0. That gave him the time to settle in before finally turning the game on its head in injury time. His WhoScored rating was 8.3 for that 29 minutes! Perhaps DF is beginning to think that early substitutions can make a difference. In only 12 starts and 6 sub appearances he now has 4 goals and 6 assists in spite of being in and out with injuries. What might he do in a clear run of games?
Yeah. The only way this will have any substance is if a Real Madrid sort of club is after Trippier. But the replacement fullback (confusingly named Kyle Walker-Peters) apparently had a stormer against Newcastle anyway
DF's view on the Aarons rumour: https://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/norwi...ham-transfer-interest-in-max-aarons-1-5833900 Good advice, IMO.
From today's BBC gossip page: Arsenal have joined north London rivals Tottenham in wanting to sign Norwich City's English right-back Max Aarons, 18. (Sunday Mirror)
