I feel proud that you think of Gillingham in the same breath as Arsenal, we lost 1-3 against play-off potential, while Liverpool humped some North London European wannabe's <laugh>

I think they expect too much. Especially with Luton on a run that is probably one of the best witnessed in this League for many a year - 32 points in 12 games!

That's why i love it mate. We don't put up with glory hunters and fantasists down here, you have to graft for it, and sometimes it's bleak but i wouldn't have it any other way. You got a good team mate, they just got to keep grafting at it, keep doing what they have been doing, the others will slip up at some point, your lot have just got to learn to be patient.

On the flip side, it must be pretty good for the away supporters to go to somewhere like the SOL. They can have a great day out, crack on with the locals, see a great stadium, and enjoy the game for what it is.

Fair comment, but after many a decade of following my club i tend to find todays modern grounds less attractive. I think the passion has certainly gone out of places like Wembley as a result.

Wolves was shhite, full of glory hunters and job worth stewards, Spurs was far better at the Lane as the stewards left us alone to do our own thing with no hassle. I loved places like the crazy gang (Plough Lane) - Aldershit, Barnet etc Whereas places like Oxford are like a fooking morgue.

Biggest killer for me was Swindon, it used to be electric, you had to watch yourself going there, now it's like watching a mice gathering, squeaks with no chorus. I remember going to Hull the air was electrifying back in the day, yet watched their game the other day and the place was half empty.

As you know sunderland just set the record for a crowd in that league. The crowds are there, and it's all about football. It doesn't matter what team is coming.

Prem, champioship, league1...Give them something decent to watch, people will go....Not a lot of other clubs could say the same.
