1 NOT Ogilvie - dreadful spatial awareness- no pace - and those are just his attributes ( I think he should have been 'credited' with goal No.2 ) 2 NOT Reilly - the number of times he gave away the ball,he might as well as wore a red shirt 3. NOT Parrett ( or should I say pillock ) -he knew he wasn't fit special mention - gratitude to Marquis for not 'celebrating 'his goal
1, NOT Me - Mrs alwaysight has more sense 2. NOT Me - Mrs alwaysright didn't waste any time or money (today) 3. NOT Me -I couldn't stomach any more at 0-3.... decided to do something I've only done twice before --- Guess 4. Me -- on my way out I made a few others laugh - I told the gate operative not to worry about leaving it open with still 20 minutes to play - nobody was likely to want to get in
1. patchy70 - for having the bravery to dare to set up this thread. I was disgusted at the appalling level of 'engagement.' - it was a pathetic effort. I commented that I should have stayed at home - mrs. alwaysight was going to watch Chicken Run - a lot more entertaining I bet !
I know that brb is going to hate me ! I was so disgusted with the 'effort' in today's game - I decided to waste no more of my time - and left before the ball hit the back of the net for 0-3 (( OK, I did see the net bulge )). I 've walked out before the final whistle only twice before ---- and --- trust me, I have seen some dreadful performances over MANY years. I got back indoors just in time to see the first of the 6 goals in the Liverpool v Arsenal game. This game was a real spectacle - and certainly made up for the lack of entertainment at Priestfield.... Of course this match was screened by Sky TV. The cost of watching 'entertaining' football was a lot less than I spent on the excrement on offer in Gillingham today ( and for a change the **** wasn't confined to the alleyways ) --- AND - included in the same cost I have gorged on several other examples of decent football during this month. I have heard the argument made by brb - about so-called 'real' football. May I remind him of a quote used by grumpygit; " You can't polish a turd." --- I am getting fed up of continually going to Mr.Scally's shop - handing over my cash - and being given a lot of turd..... and yet in the Sky shop they give you many tins of polish for the same price
Groundhog Day.... Did I mention that I didn't stay until the end ?................ Yes, I realise that it's the Doncaster thread -- but, but, but - wtf was the difference in performance against Walsall? What a pile of excrement ! - for the 47 minutes that I could bear to suffer. I was actually annoyed that it wasn't 0-3 by half time --- I only stayed to see if there was a glimmer of hope that I could see another team, other than Gills waste a 2-0 lead. I have been watching The Gills for a very long time. I am just about at the end of my tether with spending so much time and money to watch a pile of **** ( I'm sory for the vulgar language - but nothing else comes close to describing the garbage that was given to 3852 Gills fans. ) Can anyone tell me if there was ANYTHING to cheer at any point in the game ? SL is totally wrong to suggest that the fans are partly culpable - does he go to a shop and walk out without buying-- because he may not like what is offered ? Would it then be his fault if the shop went out of business ? -- give us something to cheer - and remember - the fans have come to your shop and paid in advance - NO GUARANTEES, OR REFUNDS.
