Match Day Thread Leeds v Hull City

Originally it was ironic. Sung when struggling to a 1-0 win over little clubs we shouldn't have been in the same division with.

 

We've just beat Leeds, who are top of the table, in their own **** hole of a ground.... And people are arguing about a chant!

Only on Hull city not 606 !!

 

I said at half time .. hang on for the win and perhaps its starting to feel like 2007/08 .. is it possible ... dare we dream .. after all the antics of the fkwits in charge .. the constant knocks .. the injuries .. the depleted squad .. the refusal to put their hand in their pickets and support a manager doing an absolutely fantastic job under the worst possible circumstances .. the squad is showing a togetherness that we did during that season. Climbing up the league despite everything. I know the greedy shytes will look to cash in (unless this mythical group taking over stop thrm) .. but for now I'm gonna enjoy it .. if Nige dont get manager of the month I'll flash my arse in Binns window .. with Bowen player of the month .. well done lads .. and a huge well done to all the faithful who travelled today .. all you could here on the radio was the City fans .. brilliant stuff.

Though our clogging team did commit more fouls than them.
Surprised our fans weren't leaving early and asking for their money back.

 

Terrible scenes. Bob will be most upset at all those people not remaining seated in their designated seats and spoiling it for all those who wanted to watch the game in comfort.

I checked the 2007/08 table a couple of weeks back and I think that at this point we had 6 more points from the same number of games - we did have a great second half of the season that year but did drop some daft points and should have finished with automatic promotion. So, the play offs could still be achievable (although I find it hard to believe, but then, to quote Greavsey "Its a funny old game")

Mauled by The Tigers complete with hand gestures is one of the greatest things about supporting City , ... that was brilliant today , I'm surprised to see the stats show so little possession , it felt like times in the first half we were bossing it . To produce that without Elphick , Irvine and Campbell was class . I wasn't too happy paying 39 quid but would have paid a lot more for those celebrations after the second goal

 

the highlight for me was the players reactions to the fans after the second goal and at the final whistle - I bet they didn't realise we had it in us - great result and fantastic support

 

The league this season isn’t a 1 or 2 horse race. I think there’s 7 or 8 teams that could go up automatically. That’s just how poor it is. We could equally be in the mix and our squad is nowhere near strong enough. We’ve beaten the top side with arguably a scratch team. Keane/Stewart you wouldn’t necessarily have put in our starting 11.

I dread to think what our squad will look like come the end of January.

 

Its probably been mentioned previously. If Rehab as any gumption he'd get behind Adkins and give him some cash to spend for a serious go at the play offs. Or to build a team with an even chance of promotion next year. But we all know it isn't going to happen, shame because Adkins could do something here. The only way the Alarms are going to increase the value of the club is to have us knocking at the door, but I doubt if Rehab has the IQ to realise that.

 

What a great day must admit when I so who was missing i felt disappointed but what can you say about this team for me not the best we've ever had but for fight and spirit they are fantastic. A few beers now said I would take it easy and wait for new years eve, no chance now this city side is making me an alcoholic UTT
