Poor, tired performance and a deserved loss. This is where continually having to play Winks and Sissoko takes its toll. Reinforcements needed.
Too often you see it coming like a slow motion car crash. 1-0 up, and then CM stop pressing in MF and go AVB 2013-14.
I had a feeling this would be the case today. Mentioned on page 1 about players who need rotating. This was 1 game too many. All half we’ve looked nakered. Not surprised in the slightest. Fair play to wolves 2nd half. They’ve been by far the better side.
Today is so typical Spurs. We just go above City in the table, knowing they play Liverpool next week. We should be sending a serious message today with a dominant performance, putting massive pressure on that fixture. Instead, we flop when we need a result, giving them a leg up. What a joke we are.
Maybe Sarri is right about Spurs not being title contenders. I still think our next win will bring us back again.
Of course we’re not title contenders. Title contenders don’t concede a lead and three goals to a team as average as Wolves. Until we stop being ‘Spursy’, we’ll win **** all!,.
If today doesn't highlight the need for a new CM or two I don't know what will. Said before that Sissoko's style means he needs to be rested roughly one in every four or five games. While after praising Winks in the first half, he's gone back to being his usual useless self. Really glad I chose not to go today, I'd have been livid being there watching this ****.
CM did not want to front up in the 2nd half when 1-0 up. Don't wanna hear the "fatigue" excuse, when they hardly ran themselves into the ground in the 1st half. We lack CM leaders, who take the game by the scruff of the neck when the rest of the team is faltering. That IMHO is the missing link from where we are to being PL champions.
We got exactly what we deserved. Feck All! Dreadful 2nd half performance - no legs - no creativity - no bottle. Sanchez went missing for their equaliser and after that there was only one winner. Credit Wolves, but some serious questions posed now for the rest of the season.
