This sub section topic is a bit of a teaser. Probably why I have been toying with the idea for 8months now without coming to a consistent conclusion. I think it will be best to test the water first with some form of index so that as certain interesting topics disappear from the front page they can be added to an index that is always on the front page. The only way to get an idea of this is for me to set one up and try it for a while. After that we may have a better idea.

I'd totally agree with that Ron. At the moment it probably isn't necessary but (and I am newer than most so you may already know the answer) when we have the bigger racing events there'll probably be a flurry of threads about individual races and horses which could get lost in the crowd. Testing the water is always a good example provided it isn't infested with sharks, sting rays or giant man eating halibut..........

Don't listen to Sir Barney he's a dyed in the wool bureaucrat. <badger>Don't need subsections. The mechanism that pushes the latest post to the top of the pile and the fact that those you haven't read are highlighted are sufficient to bring to the attention of posters and browsers what's being said on what threads.
    Keep it free.

sorry roto but with your tipping success rate you could not possibly be a novice. If you're a novice i don't know what that makes me.
