Hey guys - see that Petr Cech is back in Goal for Chelsea this Saturday. Pity (for us) really as I rate the lad a lot higher than any of their alternatives and was kind of hoping that he would still be out. As has already been said, if we get anything out of the game this weekend it'll be a bonus buyt I hope we at least go for it like we did at their place last season. Could be the result to turn the heads of the bruce out Brigade (and get some of us off the Fence between that and the Bruce In! Looks about right, and probably the best we have available... I still like that midfield, and think it will cause a few teams problems...this weekend? lets hope so. Defence still looks iffy.
I will have a stab Mignolet Bardsley Richardson Bramble Brown Cattermole Larsson Colback Vaughan Sessegnon Bendtner Not necessarilty what I would choose, but I reckon Bruce will go with this. I would like to see a midfield 4 of Colback, Larsson, Vaughan and Sessegnon personally with Bendtner and Gyan up top. Worry a bit about our back 4 with Turner not fit, O'Shea picking up niggles, and Ferdinand having left. Fingers crossed young Laing turns out to be a good un!
the defence does look iffy but with Anton gone and Oshea out its the best we have, just hope he stays away from.. ELMO...BROWN..BRAMBLE..BARDO
You could be right tractor, especially with Gyan being stretchered off last week, Bruce might play it safe. As many say anyhting out of this game is a bonus, just want to see a bit of a response after the derby game, I hope the players havent forgot about this due to international break etc because the fans have not! Usually good scoring games against Chelsea except we are usually on the losing side except November 2010!!!!
With Richo in it, yes it does. I've got a feeling that he will play Bardo at RB to counteract the threat of Ashley Cole. As for LB? It's going to be Richo or Colback as our only two options available to us. I think Steve Bruce will play a 5 man midfield, with Bendtner up front and Gyan on the bench. Does he play Sess behind NB or out on the left? Your guess is as good as mine!
Get your money on it, players that never usually score have a habit of scoring against us, Bardsley and Richardson in last years match being case in point. Bramble and Bendtner to score for sure
Thought they said that Cech was back in training and not for the game? doesn't really matter as we will in all honesty get hammered. Reasons being no defence to speak of and a makeshift attack, we should be able to hold our own in midfield and if we can hold the game there we could come away with a point here's hoping.
