As for the referee Carroll should have got a yellow for the arm in the face and a yellow for the challenge on Romeu. But I don't think the second incident would have happened had Pawson done his job properly so we can't really say Carroll should have been off. Worst decision by far was not giving a pen for foul on Bednarek. Clear pen.
Just shows that we really, really need to strengthen in jan. Valery isn’t really good enough, needs to go on loan for a season. Lemina, Redmond and Targett were especially poor tonight imo. Gutting, would have loved a result tonight
With hindsight we should have been more concerned about not having created anything in the first half. Whatever the plan was, it didn't happen, but the best player on the pitch by miles won the match. That happens quite often, never mind.
I base my opinion on game by game basis. What is ridiculous is you labelling my opinion on what I saw. We Were not very good. All be it the first 5 mins of the first half we played well.
