Rabiot Watch Here we go again... The part with Aurier is where it gets interesting, as you have to wonder why he'd get involved - with the likely scenarios being a.) He knows that Rabiot's attitude will see him achieve Unperson status with Poch very quickly b.) He doesn't think Rabiot will fit into the system c.) He thinks Rabiot will be disruptive in the dressing room d.) He didn't get on with Rabiot at PSG e.) He's playing 4D chess as he knows that, if Rabiot signs for Barca, that's one less team in the running when we bid for Frenkie De Jong Exodus Watch The Daily Wial has taken a break from telling their ever-swindling readership what a stuck-up bitch Meghan Markle is and how she should know her place to suggest the following are all earmarked for January departures to raise funds Mousa Dembele Victor Wanyama Michel Vorm Fernando Llorente Vincent Janssen GKN In reality it's most likely Dembele, GKN and one of Llorente and Janssen that the club are looking to move on, barring potential swap deals (i.e. Wanyama for Declan Rice) Alderweireld Watch
The BBC seem to be suggesting that because we have triggered the extra year for Toby now , the £25m release clause is active in the January window, does anyone know if that is the case?
As I understand it, any club that’s interested has to notify us a minimum of 14 days before the summer 2019 window closes.
It bollocks...from when summer window opens and only applies up to 2 weeks before it shuts. Even a slight thought would have told the BBC journo that it would be stupid to trigger his extention before the window if it meant he could be taken for £25m in mid season by a rival This morning Sky claimed that Toby was available for £25m last summer but no one came in for him
At which point in the nine (nine???) series of Two pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps did you think the BBC knew what they were doing?
Just nearly brought my dinner up there. I read move as move clubs. It was only on the 3rd reading that I could dab the tears and see the obvious meaning of his words. Is Vertonghen's extension a good thing? Does it not mean he has a release clause like Alderweireld will have next year?
The Toby thing has been twisted by the press imo. Instead of a 4 year contract meaning he could leave for free in July 2019 and talk to foreign clubs in Jan 2019, Spurs added the extension clause which will mean ‘only’ getting £25million. Ideally of course he signs a new long term deal but if worst comes to worst then at least he doesn’t go for free next summer.
Star (that's a Turkish paper, not the British redtop) are claiming that discussions are ongoing between us and Galatasaray for the sale of Llorente
There are a number of sources saying the same so if Turkish hacks are like British hacks, they are regurgitating each others bullshit, alternatively, there may be some truth in it, but most probably, both.
On the one hand Turkish hacks perpetually link every half decent prospect in the Super Lig to us before they inevitably sign for a mid-table Bundesliga side, on the other they did reveal that Fenerbahce were looking to loan in Janssen last season so they probably have a direct line with the big three
