Hi St Helen. Rumours of my absence were greatly exaggerated. I have been known to pop by occasionally. Usually just to read.
There is something about Leeds United this season which is quite likeable. I don´t know what it is but maybe there is a genuine conection between the fans and team that has only seen many a false dawn over the past 8 seasons in the Championship. It just proves what the appointment of an excellent manager can achieve. Perhaps someone can correct me, but I don´t think Leeds have spent a huge amount on this squad.
One of the most likable things about Leeds is the fact they keep producing there own talent. You only need to look at Lewis and Taylor.. the conveyer belt just keeps on churning them out. There squad today they had 5 academy products in there squad.
Sims is back to not making the bench again at Reading, who are going to be relegated from the Championship. Probably better to bring him back.
Tuned into Solent just in time to hear the Skates go 2-1 down at Fleetwood and to my delight (but not their fans) the stadium celebration music was this... a sea shanty and theme of Captain Pugwash!...
