I think it means "senior management team" - 'President' Richard Murray and 'CEO' Lieven De Turck.

EDIT: Previous reply removed because it was a lot of bollocks.

Enough of this navel gazing. I used to enjoy going to watch Charlton for many years, and then I started paying attention to the politics, and that was where it all started to go wrong.

The last five years has been a complete write-off. Time to get back to basics (as they say).

Every club is for sale. But if you won't lower the asking price you are never going to sell it. Charlton will always be more to me than an entry in RDs ledger. It is ingrained in me, and thousands more like me, no matter who the owner is. To say that Charlton is not a real club anymore is just not true. Try telling that to all the fans supporting us home and away.
When you ask what is the point of staggering on from one crisis to another? I didn't realise that we were in crisis.

    The missing thousands.

A man given the job on process of elimination from the existing staff.

F*** knows how much in debt.

A relegation due to the colossal ineptness of the owner.

It will take years to get our ship sailing smoothly again.

Of course we are in crisis.

That was the reason I deleted my earlier reply. It was complete nonsense. Sorry to took me 40 minutes to realise it.

The Senior Management team is Chief Operating Officer: Tony Keohane and Head of Communication's Tom Rubashow. Richard Murray is not part of the SMT nor is Lieven De Turck.

Yes we are in debt, as is every Club, bar one or two in the Football League's. If we get someone to pay RDs asking price we would have wiped off most of the debt. Yes we got relegated due to the ineptness of the owner, but there comes a time to stop looking backwards and to look forwards. We are doing well under Bow and Jacko under difficult circumstances. Yes it will take a while to get our ship sailing smoothly again, it won't happen overnight. There is no guarantee even with a new owner that promotion will be a given. I have grave doubts about the Aussie Consortium. They are not what we need.

A crisis, for me, would be us heading for Administration, or the players and staff not being paid. We re a long way from that.

Let’s not excuse Duchatelet & his henchman please ...or claim that we are little worse off than any other club. We are on our arses. Historically- one of our worst periods of league failure in our 113 year history. Off the field - record fan discontent and only 7,000 fans watching us. Bowyer has done well in the circumstances, but it’s lipstick on a pig.

I am not letting off anybody. But to me it is not a crisis. Being minutes from a court order winding up the Club, that is a crisis.
The amount of hyperbole on here today is in overdrive.

The Ipswich chairman once said that a crisis would be when they ran out of white wine.
A crisis for us is having smaller crowds than Millwall. Never happened before, even when we spent three (I think) seasons a division below them.

Our league attendances are now far lower than Millwalls, even with Seriously Red counting them.

In a way you are right. But we are at a crossroads, and this summer we could reach crisis point. Bowyer and a host of players are out of contract, we are told they have been offered new ones, not that they have signed them. We came very close to closing parts of the ground for this season, and there is a good chance it will happen next, especially if the manager and players walk when their contracts expire. The situation will be untenable, with attendances declining even more and the squad strength weaker, with a manager unable to galvanise the club as Bowyer has done. There's no guarantee Jacko will take the job. So unless Roland sells the sh1t will hit the fan. It might not be as bad as the scenario I describe, but this seems to me to be the way the club is heading, and unless Roland lowers his asking price or Bowyer achieves a minor miracle what are the alternatives?
