It's nice to pop back to the UK for Christmas. Even nicer to see our lot never giving up. I expect to see the same attitude vs Derby.

I'm sure we were happy to have you, no matter how fleeting <ok>

What a game, just re-watched highlights. Yes, terrible ref, definite penalty, Fox should have been off. Despite all that, goals conceded were awful, and down to bad defending and not bad luck. Really need to look at that.

Still, never-say-die attitude was wonderful, and the result felt in the end like a win (which it wasn't!)

'Let's be having one' versus Frank Whatshisname's Derby.

Another good one from GG. Amongst other things, I liked his focus on Krul:

"Worth noting at this stage is, among other saves, the brilliant one-handed stop by Tim Krul to deny Lewis Grabban in the second-half. The Dutchman was magnificent yesterday and, the fine shot-stopping aside, is at the very heart of this team’s relentless desire to battle and push on."

Yes there was a parried save, but it was from a powerful shot and our defenders need to be ready to respond to the loose balls. Vrancic could also have done more to block the original shot, as could Godfrey on their first goal. One other thing about Krul is his passion which he communicates well to the crowd. For me, Gunn didn't have that, perhaps because he was on loan.
