First (and only) day of the period without any sort of family 'do'. Looking forward to it; will get my son on his new, so far completely ignored, bike. Take the dog for a long walk in the dunes. Visit a bed bound relly in hospital and then home to put feet up and watch something **** on the box. My parents then arrive tomorrow! Three days of that, NYE, NYD golf then back to ****ing work.
Just saw one lot off. Going to see another lot today at the event I dread every year. Got two days off after that then off for round three for a few days. I genuinely look forward to Christmas because my kids get excited but the reality of it is so disappointing.
For me it's the lead in and then the eve, day & boxing day. It's then (now) done and dusted, finito. I could have happily gone into work today! Think it'll be the last one they do though so i guess we should make the most of it, rather than endure it.
My brother in law works for an ofshoot company for Nissan..He has 2 weeks of over the xmas period..May sound ok to some, but it sounds **** to me, being told when you have to have your holidays.
So I've slaved over the cooker for 4 days making lots of nice food including the Christmas dinner, back to work today so asked Mrs luv what she's going to cook? Buffet.
