Today's penalty proves [HASHTAG]#bentasfuck[/HASHTAG] refs are against us.

Obviously they're going to give us nothing at all against Arsenal. So today was their very last chance to avoid going the entire calendar year without awarding us a home penalty, which would have [HASHTAG]#exposed[/HASHTAG] their blatant bias.

The ref was clearly under instruction to take any opportunity to cover PGMOL's tracks by giving a meaningless penalty which had zero influence on the game.

Today's conditions were also perfect with Milner not playing and so the chance of conversion was as low as possible.

Plus Salah being the one who went down will enable them to try to derail his season by turning down the next 14 [HASHTAG]#nailedon[/HASHTAG] penalties against him. Each time [HASHTAG]#bbcsalford[/HASHTAG] will say "but what about the slightly soft penalty against Newcastle..."

We're top of the league playing against 20 other teams in this league.
Haha. I thought I’ve seen (read) it all.

Bravo. You are attempting something that I thought that even you would not try to do.

To turn a soft penalty given TO us as a conspiracy against us by the referees.

<applause>

I would hold off the whole it's ours to lose crap until we have played Arsenal and city. Our lead could quite easily be reduced or down to nothing then

Exactly this. Ultimately, anyone who leads the league could factually say that it's theirs to lose - if we win every game, we win the league so factually it's correct - exactly as it was for City 3 games ago!! A lot can change in a couple of games.

It is ours to lose because the teams challenging our lead are likely to lose as many points as us (if not more), hence the easy prediction that it is really in our grasp unless there is a collapse in our form. We have been and are the most consistent team since the very start.

agree that Salah went down easy ( as most others do) but don't see how ref can book him as there was that pull on him that could have caused him to fall, no way to prove that it didn't.
I think if you watch a few of our games of late you will nitice salah trying that same dive, where someone touches him and he sort of arches backwards, it also happened early on in the season where i think he was awarded one too.
Defo thinks its something he is trying on. It is cheating and i dont like it.
That said the amount of soft ones in crucial games we have conceded i can understand (not condone) it.
Stevie G perfected the art of the trying to make it look like he was trying to stay on his feet but was always going down dive.
Kane has got his dive sorted.
Klins,an had one too, as said earlier been going on for years, thing is today the defender gave him the chance to - but again still dont like it :(

This. This is a match we could and would have won easily without any diving whatsoever. Having watched the replays there was a fleeting touch on Salah ‘s shoulder. Not enough to pull him back .He dived conning the referee. The definition of cheating used by the pundits and ex players in the media. He has to sort himself otherwise he will enhance a bad reputation as a diver. To blame the award on a conspiracy AGAINST us is really bizarre and paranoid. We just need to put our own house in order.

One thing I have noted is that by Fabinho finding his feet at the club, Henderson has really stepped up. He is playing well. Once Keita gets going it will be tough to stop Liverpool as we have option to rotate in the middle

Agree. His injury really set him back but will get there.......and we still have Ox to come back, although with his injury, you never know if he'll be the same player.

My biggest concern is at CB. One injury there and it could fall apart......and VvD needs a rest which will likely be the FA Cup game. The sooner Gomez and Matip are back, the better!

Since the premiership was formed NO team leading at the half stage by SIX points has ever failed to win the league.

That was a joy to watch ,looked even better when Fabinho came on.Didn't expect to get top billing with MOTD thought that would go to Spuds or Everton but it went to Leicester v city, does jug ears pick the running order? Also nice to see Shearer's miserable face in the crowd.:emoticon-0102-bigsm

FA Cup and first round Will prob get a rest and he’s suspended for the first leg of the CL.
To be honest though I don’t think he’s got out of second gear for ya all season, guy looks like he just strolls through every game atm

PGMOL are calling for a two match retrospective ban on Salah, having apparently only just noticed for the first time yesterday that sometimes players go down a bit easy.

For me the evidence is not overwhelming.

Absolute joke if he gets a ban tbh

I expect stuff like that to be on talk shyte radio etc but for anyone to seriously call for it is outrageous. If true it's that bizarre it actually makes your conspiracy stuff believable!

I thought the conspiracy was genius :bandit: but apart from that totally agree.
I think its interesting you state that he may end up with a rep, tbh hadnt crossed my mind but could definitely happen.
You could see it having an adverse effect very much in the short term. I think someone mentioned above it will get referred back to should a decision not go our way in the upcoming big matches. Thing is i can again understand a ref not giving it. I will say that i would expect a ref to be consistent just so i can rant if it does happen :)

While I've argued it's a penalty all day long I think James Pearce needs to pull his tongue out of salahs ringpiece because he was definitely to blame for such an over reaction.

It's not just him at it they all are abd Its been happening for too long..
