Watched some of it on the TV screen instead of the computer. Grandson took cable from the digi box, fixed it to the computer, and said there you go. Oh well you live and learn. Males in family watched and agreed there is not that much between the two teams. Shows just how much we have come on. The feeling was we should have had a penalty, but sometimes you get them and sometimes you don't. Not a 100% certain one there. At one time we would have been glad to come away with a one goal defeat, but now you feel that we could well have earned a point. Disappointing, but you can't win them all.
They were lot sharper and quicker than us although we gifted them both goals... Hopefully Kabasele is ok and we do need more up front - did their goalie have more than one save to make ? We move on I guess onto a team who will be pretty defensive .

After listening to the game it sounded like Chelsea deserved their win. Onwards and hopefully upwards after the next game!!
That they were the better team is not up for debate so much as they "deserved their win".... they did not.
On the radio it probably sounded like.Chelsea had most of the ball and chances but we did petty well although maybe could have been better with the ball . However they were very good at pressing up high and getting the 2nd balls .
Ours was never ever a pen, GD looked for it. It was an intelligent dive and I'd rather not have that in any game. We had 2 shots on target. Hmmmmmmm who deserved to win?

Video evidence shows that GD did grab Luiz's arm but I can't see how the ref or assistant could have seen it from their positions, I we had been given it Chelski could have felt hard done by after but it would be nice if our opponents went through that occasionally. Don't think they could have complained if it had ended up a draw. If Chelsea aren't going to play Giroud do you think he'd come to us on loan ?? or maybe Batshuayi ?
I really don't get this. Chelsea were the better side on the night. But even if they weren't, they won. The ref had a good game. Yes he got some decisions wrong but in general that is true of virtually every game I've seen. But he also played some great advantages and let the game flow. We had a good night based on where we are and how well our players performed and where they are in their development. Claiming the refs have a secret meeting every week to plot the downfall of Watford and similar teams is just a joke. If you add up all the games where the bad losers think the ref plotted against us and gave us those points we would be playing in the champions every season Do they really think we are top 4 at the moment? And just remember there are players in our squad who see nothing wrong with breaking the rules .
GD probably didn't help himself with a little dive in the 1st half but you can understand the frustrations when Mo Salah gets a penalty for a slight touch on the arm in the Liverpool game.
