Schar was poor on Saturday so I can understand that one. Joselu though... Admittedly, he tries but he’s just not good enough.

 

It can't help Scar's confidence to get dropped after one bad game. Prior to Fulham he had done OK, especially with Ferdnandez alongside him.

 

I think we will dominate in middle of the park with diame and Hayden! I can't Liverpool getting a foothold on the game .

 

Think its an ok line up, not sure about the front 2, obviously Rafa has gone for Joselu and Muto for their work rate, actually agree with that call but personally I'd give Rondon 60 to start with as he is our best striker (not saying much)

Fernandez back is a blessing as well.

Hopefully it'll only be our customary 2-1 loss vss the big 6.

A good result so far

 

Joselu has to at least work the keeper with that chance, also given the ball away 4/5 times under no pressure, Rondon has to come on for him 15-20 mins in to the second half. Lacselles just needs put it out for another corner or put it back where it's come from (can't do that because its across your own goal so just get it out), don't head it down to the edge of the six yard box to an umarked player - defending 101. To be fair didn't seem to get a shout from Dummy or Fernandez behind him.

Apart from that we've been solid bar a few balls over the CB's heads which have had us scrambling. We are playing with the midfield so close to the defence maybe we can drop another 5 yards to prevent them playing in behind.

Positives Hayden looking good for his second start of the year, Diame playing well as well, Dubravka is soooo solid and Muto looking busy. If we can keep it tight start of the second half we could nick a point towards the end - we wont we'll give away a sloppy goal and lose 2-1...
