Definitely can't see it happening. But how people can say no thanks are missing a mass of opportunities for the club. The marketing, world-wide recognition for the club are all sound business opportunities. On the pitch - no doubt that he could contribute to the team, off the pitch he would show people what being a professional footballer is all about - dedication, training, professionalism, using your skills to best advantage etc. etc.
    However.. nice dream!!

If it was true then we should snap his hand off ... For QPR it would raise our profile massively ... A London club the far east would lap it up
Seriously Chief it's a marketing dream regardless of his play on the pitch which is still good enough

    QPR deny Beckham interest

QPR have dismissed speculation linking them with a swoop for David Beckham.

The former England captain, 36, was reported to have been lined up for a move to west London at the end of the MLS season, when his contract with LA Galaxy is due to expire.

But QPR Holdings vice-chairman Amit Bhatia told West London Sport: “There’s absolutely no truth in it.

“David Beckham is a great player and I hope in the next few years we’ll be signing players of such stature, but not now.”

Since last month’s Tony Fernandes-led takeover at Loftus Road, Rangers have signed England internationals Joey Barton, Luke Young and Shaun Wright-Phillips as well as Senegal left-back Armand Traore.

They also beat the transfer deadline to bring in Anton Ferdinand and Jason Puncheon.

All six players are expected to be in contention for next Monday’s game against Barton’s former club Newcastle as part of a new-look Rangers side.

“We’re extremely pleased with the signings. We’ve given ourselves a fair chance of staying up and the feedback we’ve had from the management and fans is that everybody is happy,” Bhatia added.

Thanks Amit. We might be a team of desperados atm, but we don't need to become a circus as well.

Journalists ... bunch of Tosspots the lot of them. They seem to spend most of their time making stuff up. Why? Because it is easier than doing any work! Their editors will accept anything they want to throw at them.

Why do want him, he'll push the average age of the squad up. Anyway we already have dyer, gabbidon, helguson, ****tu, rowlands, cerny and others over thirty. I wouldn't want him at my club.

How anyone could not want want a player of the stature of Beckham at our club defies belief - alright, he may not be the player he once was, but he is still a legend in the game, and even speculation (which it definitely is) would raise the clubs profile world-wide.

Pity, I just can't see it happening, but I would welcome it if the day came - he may not be able to hack it on the pitch, but just to be around the club would propel us into a different league with regards to sponsorship/shirt deals etc

£60-80K a week? You're havin' a larf! That wouldn't keep Posh in her Christian Louboutins and Jimmy Choos...

I think he'd be on a six-figure a week sponsored deal probably paid for by one of Tony's mates. I think this is just the type of high-profile deal Fernandes is looking for to put us on the world stage. I think this could be more than a possibility...

QPR make move for Beckham as new owner Fernandes ups the ante on Twitter

    By Sami Mokbel

Last updated at 8:04 AM on 7th September 2011

Is that the way to London? QPR are ready to open talks with Beckham

Queens Park Rangers have opened discussions over a sensational swoop for David Beckham.

New owner Tony Fernandes revealed his interest in the LA Galaxy midfielder on Twitter, posting: 'I think having someone like David [Beckham] in the club would be great. Was always in my thoughts. Let's see.'

And it seems Fernandes's vision of seeing Beckham in a Rangers shirt is more than just a pipe dream.

Loftus Road sources informed Sportsmail that there has already been initial contact between Rangers and Beckham's representatives over a potential move to west London.

The former Manchester United midfielder's current MLS contract expires in November, from which time he will be able to join another club on a free transfer.

American dream: Beckham's contract is up at the end of the MLS season

Manager Neil Warnock has wasted no time in spending Fernandes and vice-chairman Amit Bhatia's millions since the pair replaced Bernie Ecclestone and his business adviser Flavio Briatore at the helm.

But while the arrivals of Joey Barton, Shaun Wright-Phillips and Anton Ferdinand represent major coups for the newly promoted club - the capture of Beckham would surpass all those.

Fernandes, a world-renowned businessman, is said to have used his links from within global entertainment firm AEG - who own LA Galaxy - as one of his first points of contact when registering his interest in Beckham.

Splashing the cash: Warnock has has wasted no time spending Fernandes's money

Warnock has given the thumbs up to the deal, with the QPR boss feeling Beckham still has plenty to offer on and off the pitch.

Fernandes is particularly keen to use Beckham in his effort to establish the QPR brand in Asia - a continent where the midfielder has legions of fans and where Fernandes has numerous business interests.

Sources close to Beckham last night claimed the former England captain would not be thinking about his future until his LA Galaxy contract expires.

But the 36-year-old will keep an open mind when considering his next move, while a return to his native London might suit Beckham and his family.
