    Leeds v Blackburn Rovers

    Hi Folks

Yorkshire play Lancashire at Elland Road on Boxing day as Leeds aim to put distance between themselves and the rest of the chasing pack.

Blackburn have not won since the beginning of December, slipping to 14th place in the table, most recently last week when they lost 1-0 at home against Leeds promotion rival Norwich. They have not picked up three points away from home since 6 October at Bolton.

Although Leeds first away defeat of the season was at Ewood Park, they will be cautiously optimistic having not been defeated since 10th November, notching up six wins in a row in the process.

Leeds will hope to have Douglas (illness) and Bamford (tweak) fit for the war of the roses clash.

Ayling should start at right back having suffered no recurrence of the injury that saw him sidelined since October.

Having only 72 hours rest since their win at Villa Park, are we going to see any changes in the line up?

How important was Ayling to the team that beat Villa?

Slightly hungoverish sober on this xmas night. Hoping that Bamford is fit and Clarke starts. Hipe Ayling can repeat what he did Sunday. I see nothing less than a 3-0 win (as usual)

Blackburn gave us a hard time away but expecting a different game

    Ho Ho Ho

    Remember me I'm Santa Claus
Once a year I work for a cause,
To deliver presents to all the kids
Naughty or nice, I don't care what they did!!

On my sleigh I travel round the world
Bringing lots of joy to every boy and girl,
When all the kids are asleep in bed
I do my thing cos I'm the man in red.

Tommy wants a tractor, Lucy wants a phone,
Robbie with the glasses wants a robot drone,
Eddie wants a puter, Susie wants a bag,
a very special one; with a Gucci tag.

Aunty wants her Cognac, Uncle wants his beer,
Granny wants a walker, to get from there to here,
Mummy's very fussy; it's got to cost a lot,
But Daddy's very worried; it's not a lot he's got

So here's to you Merry Xmas
    Everybody have some fun,
    Look to the future now
It's only just begu' u' un.

There's Dasher and Dancer and Prancer and Vixen
Comet and Cupid and Donner and Blitzen
Pulling my sleigh from Russia to France
When my Reindeer fly, my Reindeer dance

Big Elves, little Elves, tall elves, small
They work around the clock to make presents for all,
They take it in turns and always make sure
There's a gift for every child, be they rich or poor.

So here's to you Merry Xmas
    Everybody have some fun,
    Look to the future now
Its only just begu' u' un.

    ..........................................

I'd like to say I hope, including you and yours had a very good Xmas day, and hope you all have a very prosperous New Year.

I hope you got everything you wrote Santa for and your wives/girlfriends don't take to many things back to shop to exchange.

Try to remember, and help where you can,

There are people living on streets who are homeless and down on their luck, a couple of quid can help them in so many ways.....
Merry Christmas everyone.................and a Prosperous New Year.

I’m going to relying on sneaky forum checking for updates today, round the daughters for a family gathering all day, son-in-law is a Leeds fan but we fear the TV is going to be banned and as it’s only on red button I can’t record it.

Good Morning to Matt and his little helpers from a still Bardsey
Hope everyone had an enjoyable day and may it continue today
I didn't realise Blackburn was having such a bad spell watch out for Danny Graham he seems to like to score against us and Bradley Dack
You must not worry about the idiot from Harrogate Matt you are a far bigger person than that

Ayling and Douglas both critical to the team, very experienced and they give the opposition two more things to worry and think about. The more they fear Douglas attacking down the left and Ayling making runs down the right the less they notice Klich, Roofe and Pablo. If a team has one threat it’s pretty easy to snuff them out or even commit one guy to them and go 10 v 10

If Ayling and Douglas are on form then their defence will be pulled out wide playing into the hands of Pablo and Roofe

Hope the Villa game didn't take too much out of the players and with Blackburn having an extra day to recover, I'm expecting a tight game, Blackburn also seem to have a good record at ER in recent seasons. A win for us by the odd goal.

I know Matt said they were going through a bad patch but they drew at Boro recently andhave only lost 6 games so beware
Finally Norwich have to playForest and Derby in 2 of their 3 fixtures whilst DERBY also play Sheff U

Not me bud Bielsasboys will be hungry for another win. Im expecting a charge of the light brigade approach. But unlike them we have backup in reserve. This could be a high scoring game for us. Chaaarrrrrge

Yes. Did you see on Twitter the tweet about our 2nd half of the season slump every year since we’ve been in the championship.

Got the tribe coming round so will only be able to Dib in and out now and again.
Expecting a good win today, the lads should still be on a high after Sunday.
After the wins we have had of late surely the lads will have learnt that's it's never over until it's over.<cheers>
