But also has rugby teams etc.. Football wise we have been a far better supported team than leeds over time..
Total joke if true this would be going down Ellis short territory and I don't want that starting, is there a replacement ready ? without him we will not go up end of. If so Gayle from WBA on loan or Moore from Barnsley we cannot rely on Wyke or Sinclair.
I didn’t say they were I said comparable size maybe a little bigger, that’s a very open debate isn’t it, very close indeed. My point was a team of similar size a level up, would he get games? Likely no so he’s be badly advised to go.
Aye let’s get Gayle, who is on loan to WBA, fighting promotion in a higher league. A loan of a loanee, we’d be ****ing pioneers mind.
Maja only 19.. We don't really know what is happening regarding negotiations.. I really hope we tie him down, but if he reads many of the SAFC social media sites he will probably want to go after the crap that has been said about him..
Oh aye, nailed on they’ll go for that I mean they’d have to then also give back Rondon, their glimmer of hope of goals but you know we all know they love Sunderland so what’s their Premier League status compared to loaning us an already loaned out striker, who’d never dream of playing in Liga Uno? Nailed on this happens....
Just a really bizarre suggestion. The strange thing about the Gayle loan is that i'm pretty sure Rondon is in the last year of his contract with them but we have another year or two on Gayle. So we've swapped players for a year and hope to persuade Rondon to sign on with us for free, then get Gayle back... We may not sign any players, we may get relegated (again!) but damn we scrape that barrel better than most. As for Maja I don't know much about the lad, you'd have to ask why it's got to this position really. He's a good prospect but he's far from guaranteed to be a hit in the Championship let alone the Premiership so I can't see teams being willing to pay the sort of money you'd want for him in January. As for the end of the season that's a different matter. He's replaceable if needs by though.
It's his finishing basically, combined with a deft touch on the ball. Any forward who is comfortable on either foot and can find the bottom corners consistently will interest most sides. He'd do a job for Newcastle, feed the ball into his feet and he'll get goals in any league. It's the other aspects of his game that are lacking but the lad has the eye for goal of a top player make no mistake.
Absolutely this. Maja has something natural when it comes to finishing with either foot. No screamers sle the King but stroked into either corner with either foot. His first attempt yesterday from right to left left me feeling ‘why not a goal? They ALWAYS GO IN’ but the half chance later with his back to goal was a natural instinctive nudge on the ball and would have been one for the memory banks. However, he is a long way from the finished article. He will never be one to put in a box to box shift, and needs more muscle. How he will fair against top defenders he will learn only by playing against them. I really feel that a natural progression with a team like us going up (please) would be the better path for him - but we all know that youth has not much patience and agents have only for eyes. KTF
Do you mean Maja's contract situation? What happened was Short refused to do any contracts until he sold up, then the wage protocol structure restricted us from doing new contracts until wage bill dropped. Pappy and Ndong leaving gave us that space hence negotiations have commenced. Sent from my Moto G (5) using Tapatalk
Nothing to add to this, word perfect. He’s raw away from the box but improving, but he’s fearless now and he hits the target time after time. If he manages his career right he will get his big move to the right club at the right time. If. He will do better in the Championship in a side he knows where the fans are behind him then as a new lad at an unknown club, that’s a cert.
I've just watched the highlights of yesterday's game and in the past I've pointed out Majas lack of effort away from the penalty box. From what I saw he had a really good game, dropping deep taking the ball, keeping it and bringing others into the game. He could have scored two possibly three goals and it Was his shot that led to our goal so well done Josh for me that was his best all round display this season.
Maja has been given until the end of the week to sign a new contract. If he doesn't do it sell him to Bournemouth or swap him with Defoe as Jermain is not getting games there
