Martinez was hounded out by the fans for that kind of ****e handed out since the Liverpool game. Same ****e, different manager and I stand by my previous shout that it should have been Howe.
i can see why, but what about wolves manager? i know at time he wasn't known if be any good in prem, but he looks a quality manager. lastly why would howe take a step backwards
Shouldn't have even sacked Koeman. You got on his back for only picking up 1 point from a run of City (A), Chelsea (A), Spurs (H), Man Utd (A) with a GD of -9 This season you also have 1 point from the same fixtures and a GD of -7 £90m on players plus the costs of sacking just to be GD+2 better off (and even that's because Man Utd are crap now)
I don’t think Howe would have made that much of a difference. The current manager needs more time. Spurs have hit the right system for the players they’ve got and on top the expectations are lowest of the top teams. This is what happens when teams play without any pressure.
Nope, I’m just talking in terms of Everton at this time. He is as stubborn as Bobby was, playing out from the back with Keane and Zouma/Mina? Can’t see Zouma or Gomes wanton to make loan deals permanent based on this years play, which is a shame as both are good players. I have a stinking hangover, just mardy today.
But Spurs showed how good a side they are, took us apart and was the best performance against us all season(so far)and I expect a rimming against Burnley now as we are the gift that bad form gives to struggling sides.
Spurs are a very good side but you were a shambles particularly at the back but MF offered them no protection . Your whole set up was an open invitation for Spurs MF runners to have a field day and they gleefully accepted the invite. PS Pickford
for those that was worried about getting nike. Liverpool in talks with New Balance over record kit deal from 2020-21... and they want to eclipse Manchester United's £75m-a-year adidas contract Liverpool are looking to beat Manchester United's record £75m kit deal At present, the Reds earn £45million-a-year with American brand New Balance They are now in talks with New Balance about extending their deal However, they will need to significantly improve their current terms Liverpool are in negotiations to seal a record Premier League kit deal, with club officials looking to eclipse Manchester United's £75million-a-year agreement with adidas. The Anfield club's current kit deal with New Balance ends at the end of the 2019-20 season and it is understood that talks to extend the current deal under improved terms have already got under way. Liverpool's current deal is worth £45m-a-year - but while the club and American kit company consider the agreement a massive success - it is understood New Balance will have to increase their sponsorship offer by at least £30m a year for it to continue.
Harsh that imo. Until the 95th minute of the derby it was all going rather well. That ending deflated us and we’ve been meh since. The last 2 games have shown just how much that side and Silvas tactics rely on the energy, cover and ball winning of Gueye. Without him that side is way too open. That said, if the ref doesn’t wrongly disallow our 2nd goal yesterday and then Pickford doesn’t have a brain fart (again ffs) minutes later, then that’s a different game, as we sit in more and try and hit them on the counter.
it didn't look like you were capable of sitting in tbh. From the start it only seemed like a matter of time before Spurs scored (and you tbh in the first part of the game) and that feeling continued throughout the game.
ah ha.... so your other midfielders are **** cos they don't bother to defend properly. just rely on on lad to do the job for them. another reason why dms are football manager territory.
What are you waffling on about? None of our other midfielders are of the same type as Gueye. He’s key to Silvas system.
Gueye is a bundle of energy and can break up play/sit. But so can Schneiderlin, I’m just grumpy and would have love to have seen McCarty in.
