Picadish mince. Made from no animal known to Man.

Ice cream floats were canny though.

In the sixties, our Saturday morning was go into town and listen to records in the booths near Picadish, then go in and have beans and chips for lunch, walk over to Paragon Station and get the train to go and watch City. Perfect day.

Went down to Humber Street today, it was dead, fancied trying the new seafood place, or 1884 Steak, but both were closed.

Only Humber St Gallery and Tapasaya were open, it's a Thursday between Christmas and New Year, I expected places to be open. :emoticon-0112-wonde

I've been tripped up like that before. Even when there is a place open they're usually dead and alive, without recent fresh food deliveries and often with a skeleton kitchen staff.

I went yesterday and even Minerva was closed .
To be fair it's pretty empty most of the week which I'm surprised at as I thought it would have had a steadyish stream.

Picadish - we used to get their soup of the day (except when it was tomato) with a bread roll. Delicious and great value.

Anybody know what’s going on with the bottom of Princes Quay then?

They did those street food things for the first few music gigs but don’t hear anything about it now. They converted the old JD, JJB and Disney stores but now nothing.

They had that vote for four places like TGI Fridays and Taco Bell but nothing materialised...

Yes I was thinking that myself the other week.
It's certainly a game of Russian Roulette in the Retail and food sector at the minute

Ah. Cheers. I wasn't living 'round here then, so probably explains why I couldn't remember.

It’s so empty down there. Nando’s and Pizza Express are rammed when the concerts are on so it’s crying out for two more places to open down there and make a proper food court.

Didn't TGI say they wouldn't open in the town centre, but they would on Kingswood?

At the time, they couldn’t commit to opening in town centre because they were in talks to open on Kingswood but then the council rejected those plans so no idea what happened next.

It’s ridiculous how many restaurant chains aren’t here. It took long enough to get things like Nandos and Prezzo etc... and there’s still loads we don’t have.
