They don't have to try for a manager who won't be there come August. If they don't try for the second manager running then that will affect their validations and therefore the club too. Even Mourinho would have won that festive period, thus wasting any potential honeymoon period OGS could have.
Remember Chelsea under rafa. Players refused to try in league but magically won Europa. The Utd players will want certain things, different factions etc. The coming games look so easy...
If your playing football manager you can organise the players into a good side, now Olly might be a utd legend, but he's a utd legend for scoring off the bench in important situations. He was never a great player, he's obviously not a great manager, it just looks like utd have give up on the rest of the season, but at least they don't have to put up with Jose any more
In general you are probably dead right on agent ole. I just can't see Utd catching both Chelsea and arsenal. I am of course assuming spurs and us are not going to fall off that much. Utd have 26 points. They would need to take 44 points out of 21 games to get to just 70 points. That's as good a form as most title winning teams deliver most years. I cannot see Utd getting 70, but Chelsea and arsenal are headed for around that mark.
I'd be able to get them to win the next games. Theres huge talent in their ranks. If they are even just "happy" its a start. Martial and rashford for example, if thry can play just with freedom and not fear making a single mistake then their pace alone makes Utd dangerous as he'll.
Rashford is dangerous, martial should have defenders terrified, but in saying that lucky should have CB quaking as well. There midfield is short but defence I've always thought looks ok, but at the minute they look terrified. Bailly is a cracker CB Jones or smalling should make them solidish. It's when you look at the names on the team sheet that you really realise how much of a **** up Jose has made it. I said it 12 months ago though, his passion for the game has gone, he was good when he was chasing, as soon as he made it, he couldn't be fuxked. All about the money then
he looked desperately unhappy too. imo they have too much to do cos Chelsea and arsenal would.win those games I pointed out too. 6 out of 7. 11 points gap? if it were just Chelsea maybe but with both cheslea and arsenal both ain't going to **** up.
That was the whole point . Mourinho wouldn’t have walked even these easy fixtures. They struggled against all the lower teams except for Fulham instead of walking them as expected. They were dominated by lower teams and made West Ham and Southampton look like Barcelona. With their newly found freedom they will be beaten by the top 5 teams but will beat the others. If they do get into top 4 it will be a huge achievement for Solskjaer. Better than anything achieved by any of their other 3 previous managers.
i don't think anything is finished in ruddy december. lot more twists and turns to go for everyone yet, wish you would stop setting it up for us to be ****ing wummed to ****!
