Maybe im a new age footie watcher (or more likely im a lightweight chinaman who gets pushed off the ball easily) so when i see a big bruising club such as burnley moan about diving and stuff music to my ears because all they do is foul and push players off the ball https://www.theguardian.com/football/2018/dec/22/sean-dyche-accuses-arsenal-dives-absolute-cheating Loads of people were all happy with plucky little burnley upsetting the apple cart last year when i thought they were dirty ****ers who get away with more anti football than most because refs seem to relax the rules for physical sides. Dont get me wrong, being physicals not a problem its when they just constantly foul all the time and get away with it. Cardiffs another good example and even city who are dirty ****ers. Anyway rant over see ya later dyche you moaning ginger bald headed knobber
I like the contrast and think it makes the league interesting, if everyone played the same way it would be boring this league gives you a different challenge every game. We can't dictate as to how we want football played so that our team wins you have to build a team that is up to the task of having to fight for points in a gritty hard game as well as being able to play a bit when required.
Oh i like a good contrast. But being pure filth and fleecing people by wasting time at dot zero is a disgrace. True tbh you boys are okay. Maybe its paterson (dirty ****er but a bit of contact and he goes flopping) and arter who flavour my views a bit. Probably against most peoples opinions but i actually quite like warnock lol
Lukaku is 6 feet 4 inches tall and weighs 22 stone but he gets pushed off the ball by the likes of Pedro and David Silva. It’s not fair.
I’d prefer to watch physical players slamming some of the beauts, as opposed to the kind of snide ‘dark arts’ employed by some.......
Too right bruv. A proper sliding tackle that won the ball used to be cheered as loud as a goal at Goodison. Nowadays you get armchair beauts saying it’s a red because the poor lamb got clattered on the follow through. Meh.
Costa was a supposed hard case, yet Dembele treated him like his bitch, when we played the Chavs a couple of seasons back.
The biggest cheer at Vicarage Road this season was when Craig Cathcart cleared out kieren Trippier on the touchline when we were 1-0 down. Set the tone for the last 30 minutes.
You’re a big physical side, but not ‘dirty’ by any means. I get sick of reading armchairs of the so called elite, cry arseing when a side that doesn’t have the same level of technical ability gets in their faces and stops them playing.
We're lucky at Spurs, because we have the best of both worlds. We have the flair and the skills to wow, but if we have to we can mix it, too.
