    Putting party politics aside, he's one of the last politicians who had done a proper job of work before going into politics. We could do with some more of those right about now....

    Whilst I know that Man Utd, Arsenal and Chelsea are all some way off of the teams that they have been in recent years, I am wondering when the last calendar year that saw us beat all 3 of them home and away was?

    Bigsmithy do you remember the Tottenham Angel's and is it true that a local church protested about them and got them stopped ? I was talking with an elderly uncle who used to go to the lane with my dad back in the late 50s/60s

    Not a bad idea to have ex-military as MPs. They at least have some idea of what they are committing others to do when intervening in conflicts. Unfortunately it's quite a rare career path for former military, and too much for those who have not ever had a "real" job.
