Sky has announced a withdrawal of funding for it's cycling team after 2019. It has been great to have so many Uk riders win major races but not good for competitions to be dominated for so long due to one team having a bottomless funding pit.

Jose Mourinho has left his job as Manchester United manager after two and a half years in charge. Sacked seemingly.

I rate Maonrinho but I guess he had to go. He hasn't kept up with the times really.

Poor transfers and negative football has undone Jose.

I mean they still have Ashley Young at left back - would he even play there for us!?

Actually done well in that role but you'd expect Man U to have a young ready made left back.

And one striker with 2 defensive midfielders isn't in the Man U style.

My preseason predictions could come true
Pochetino to United, Cain and Abel to Real Madrid
Snake Eyes to Tottenham with Richarlison and Sigurdson
Fat Sam back at Everton to sort the turmoil that could cause

To be honest Man. Utd are a strange animal. They are, historically, the most successfull club in England (at least in domestic competition), yet achieved nearly all of these successes under 2 managers. Last time they took 17 years to really find the right replacement for Matt Busby - from 1969 to 1986 they were a great club, but won next to nothing, until Sir Alex took up the reins. Will it take a further 17 years to really replace him ?

  12. Good week for Liverpool. That's all we need next year - Brexit and that shower winning the league. May as well throw in Wales winning the rugby world cup.

Revenge is best served cold. I will have a couple of cold beers in a local pub tonight to celebrate.

Typical Everton really - have a few good results/close games but then get hammered by a big boy and have an iffy run.

Been the same since the 80s really generally save for a few seasons when they have been really bad.

Add to that Australia winning the Cricket World Cup and the Ashes. I wish Jimmy Anderson hadn't opened his mouth and said that the World Cup was ours to lose - he no longer plays in ODIs.

  17. It wasn't the most intelligent of comments was it?! Should be good though - have tickets for West Indies v South Africa at Southampton and Australia v Pakistan at Taunton. Hopefully the trains will run on time...

Headed into today's game with same number of points from same number of games but one place below Big Sam last season. Another defeat today. Seems a little like last season for us. Form is suddenly falling away. With the big signings made in the summer you would be hard pushed to say that he has improved things other than they play more attackingly football which may be enough for most fans. Heard a few boos at the end of game though.
