I’ve always said that this is the season we SHOULD do it. This is because we’ve been the strongest we’ve been in the premiership. Our attack has always been pretty good but our defence let us down and we lost points. This is the first time I recall that we’ve not dropped even 1 point through bad luck or errors. In all honesty the title is ours to lose. The champions usually have the best defence. Ours IS the best with VVD at the helm. Almost all the teams first at Xmas have been champions at the end. We should have the confidence to do it until the end of the seaso,
Brighton actually lucky ... mistaken identity but if the ref had eyes he's see it was bousouma (sp) and it wasn't a shove it was a 70s style chop to the neck! Straight red .... so got more minutes with 11 men than they should have had

He is a great player But he gets away with a lot ala scholes And scholes was a great too Gerarrd got away with a lot of dives too and he was a great I find it interesting that city can rotate many a player but Fernandinho is a player that without him they really struggle. Silva is another I think they would miss Ftr I think fab looks like he could do that kind of job for us too Nowhere near the level of Fernandinho yet but maybe
Not sarcasm mate, I really think he is a great player and agree he was missed today which Silva, B or D? I would go with both, though D is the more influential in attack B still gets through a lot of work and can be dangerous too.
Edited realised sorry Would say D for me but yeah both are important DB is world class as is sane and Sterling is just his final decision away inmho but I think they can cope without any of those
Quality DMs a rare nowadays so Fernandinho is a big miss. Man City have the depth to cope with others missing. They've only just got KDB back but not done too badly without him!
Two times Liverpool have been top. One had United with games in hand to play and the other had a team top at christmas but 3rd at New years and was not expected to win it until an 11 game winning streak brought anout a challenge. Third time lucky? If we beat city or avoid defeat, we have the defence to carry us over the line. Interesting times to be a liverpool fan

The importance of a quality DM... They won’t get the full credit, but players like Fernandinho and Busquets are integral for such attacking teams. And we finally have our own, in Fabinho.

none of them are a dm. they are playing deeper in a holding role but clearly given fabinho assisted salah for first goal and all 3 you name all pass the ball forwards they are not destructive defensive minded players. call it a 6....
Of course they’re DMs. Their role is to defend and provide protection. Just because they have actual technical ability doesn’t mean they’re not DMs
