Gillingham started well but we were the better side. I thought Fosu and Reeves played well. Their movement caused the Pikey's some problems. We need to get some players fit as our bench was very weak. We never got out of second gear but that was enough to beat the Caravan dwellers.
If circumstances remain more or less as they are now (no weakening of the squad in January or new injuries to key players) Charlton have a real chance of taking an automatic promotion place. It would now take a major down-turn in form to drop back out of the top 6. I must give credit to Lee Bowyer, his coaches and the players for this run of very good form. I cannot now see where this run is likely to end, so this could just be the season Charlton return to the Championship. Back in August I didn't think I would be saying that at Christmas.

We have Gillingham away on the last day of the season. If we are in the play offs or even the top 2- we can easily take 5,000 plus to Priestfield. I reckon @AllHellLetLoose and @baraettmattesvensson would both attend.
